My daughter loves museums so she asked to visit. I wasn’t very excited because I expected just a couple of items. Was I ever wrong. So many cool items inside the museum from military to household to medical. Not to mention the larger items outside including farming equipment, logging and firefighting. Admission is by donation and would recommend a visit.

Great little museum for a small town. Exceeded my expectations as it has 3 floors in a house full of high quality artifacts with a wide selection of items for all interests. Everything from good Military artifacts form three wars, Colt - Winchester - fur trade - military firearms, kitchen items, wildlife and natural history displays, musical instruments, antique tools, logging equipment, Antique chainsaws and boat motors, nursing and hospital artifacts, antique telephones, Typewriters, cameras, etc. I go to lots of museums and found this one to be very good. Out back they have a trappers cabin and some out buildings with even more displays. A great place to drop in along this stretch of highway. J. Barr, Red Deer, Alberta

There were many interesting items on display here, but most lacked even rudimentary signage that would have made them come to life. So many seemingly cool objects with no explanation how they were employed or how they fit into the lives of the people and he eras they were part of.

Good stop for tourists. just beside the C of C tourist information center. Lots of 'old' information regarding local events and original Burns Lake and area residents

Wonderful museum. Located beside the Tourist Information building. Local and military history. A rare moose skull - one of four in the world

The curator, Lee is a wealth of information. The displays are fabulous for a community of a small size. You should stop and visit!

Will you be open Sunday the 25th of August? I have heard people mention they would like to go there after visiting the Anglican church celebration.
