We stayed at West Coast Wilderness Lodge and booked a double kayak through the reception. It was a very comfortable sea kayak. They gave a good safety orientation although we are frequent kayakers. A map was provided and we were told we will likely see some seals. Calm and beautiful morning when we set off, it was getting a little too hot on our way back so the two plus hours was just nicer for us. It was low tide in the morning and we kayak into a big colony of seals. Usually they are pretty shy and would dive when they see human but perhaps safety in number this colony stayed where they were when we approached. We stopped paddling and kept our distance and were able to see them very clearly with our binolucars. We saw seals of different kind, white, grey, spotted, we saw pup suckling on the mother and a very protective mum with two pups staring at us with some hostility!

Most wonderful experience!

Everything about The Princess Louisa Inlet boat tour was fantastic. The big orange suits kept us warm from the cool wind and spray, the open boat was steady through swells and the snack and drinks provided were excellent. Joe was full of interesting stories well told as we stopped at several places en route to Chatterbox Falls. I liked that he was able to tell us several stories about the indigenous history of the area. The scenery is spectacular, I highly recommend this tour.

We highly recommend taking the 4-hr boat tour to Princess Louisa Inlet. It is by far one of the most spectacular trips we've ever taken. We took the open zodiac with Captain Kev, who was an incredible host with a deep knowledge of the area and its history. The falls at the end of the inlet are so beautiful and the entire bay is so serene and quiet. Be sure to wear your bathing suit and bring a towel if it's a hot day so you can go for a swim! This tour is WELL worth the money and I can't wait to do it again.

We called Saturday at 11am and reserved a double kayak for 2pm. Drove from Sechelt, showed up and were told not available as a tour was using it at 230pm. Waste of time and gas.
Options given, 2 singles or money back.
Took money back, and were asked who booked us? Odd , as I assume it not a 50 employee firm, and we only saw 2 ladies walking around.
For a business who was affected by COVID, they didn’t care about customer service. We drove back to Ruby Lake resort, rented paddle boards and made it a good day.

We are sorry that these guests experienced any inconvenience while exploring the coast last Saturday, however, this review is not entirely fair to our business. Firstly, the booking for a 2:00 pm rental was made at 12:50 according to our booking system, which is only 1hr and 10 min prior to the rental time. As the drive from Sechelt is about 45 minutes, this booking was likely made right before the guests' departure. As we are currently operating with limited staff due to COVID we, unfortunately, are not able to provide onsite reservations staff at all hours of the day. Therefore this booking was made by an offsite reservations staff, who was not aware that a double kayak would not be available. We admit that this is a lack of communication. Our staff takes this very seriously which is why our onsite guides inquired about who had booked the rental so that we can prevent any future errors. Upon the guests' arrival, our onsite guides were not able to offer a double kayak as all doubles were booked for a guided tour several days in advance. This was communicated on arrival. Advanced bookings are always recommended as any bookings within 24hrs may difficult to accommodate. In regards to our customer service, we guarantee that all our staff has our guests' experience at the top of their priority list. In this circumstance, the guests were offered the only solutions available, of either a full refund or alternate use of 2 single kayaks for the same rental period. Our staff made no objections, and a refund was issued immediately. Although it is too bad that these guests did not find the available options sufficient, we do not feel that this reflects poor customer service.

We had a great tour of the inlet and spent some time admiring Chatterbox falls. Our Captain kept up entertained with lots of indigenous and more recent history as well as pointing out wildlife and points of interest. We were lucky enough to experience glass-like water on the inlet which made the tour very magical. The boat was very comfortable for the ride and the 2 minute rapids thrilled the younger ones on board. The lunch provided was quality food but recommend bringing your own snacks. Some of our fellow passengers chose to fly back with Sunshine Air that met us at the falls. I would highly recommend doing that too as it would offer a special view of the glaciers.

We did three trips in 2 days. We did the kayaking trip to Hotham sound: a peaceful few hours kayaking with our helpful guide in a lovely spot. Saw lots of harbor seals and eagles.

Next, the boat trip to Princess Louisa Inlet. This is not to be missed; the boat ride getting there, in itself, would have been a great trip, but the Inlet is a magical place with waterfalls and high cliffs everywhere. The boat was comfortable and the captain great.

Lastly, we did the sunset kayak cruise. We hit it on a beautiful night with pink skies, but this would be great on almost any night. It was just my wife and I in a two-person kayak and the guide. So serene and beautiful!

We stayed at the affiliated West Coast Wilderness Lodge, so we could put the charges and add tips for the guides on our room bill, which was a great convenience.

The Princess Louisa Inlet is a spectacular place to visit on the Sunshine Coast in BC, and the Egmont Adventure Center offers a great experience to enjoy this unique treasure. All of the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the boat tour with about 10 people, and our captain Lucas who was friendly and full of information about the geography, history, and indigenous history of the area. We had an amazingly beautiful and calm boat ride up the Jervis Inlet for about 2 hours with stops along the way to admire glaciers, pictographs, and ancient settlements. We had an hour on land to walk to the Chatterbox falls and to enjoy a small snack provided by the company. It was truly the highlight of our trip to the Sunshine Coast.

A fantastic day on the water and in the air!
Captain Charlie was a wonderful guide with just the right amount of breaks and interesting information about the area along the way up to the Princess Louisa Inlet. The flight back with Pilot Josh was a great experience for most of us first time float plane flyers. A memorable day indeed. (Provided a lovely snack as well.)

I was with 3 teenagers and we had an amazing time on the water with 2 double kayaks. I was able to book easily on line and everything was ready to go. They are pretty easy going people. They showed us where we could go to see seals and did we find them. We saw over 20 seals and we were able to get up fairly close to them.

A great day out. I would recommend it. They have sea doos for checking out the rapids as well. Next time I will take out a sea doo.
