We had a great time out on the water with Greg. A real highlight was the seals coming up close to see us, seeing all the fish glittering underwater and even a seal swimming and glowing under our kayak in the bioluminescence! The scenery is beautiful and it was truly memorable, a highlight of our time in Canada. Plus although we’ve been sea kayaking a few times he taught us a few tips on paddling and turning, as well as lots of information about the wildlife and the area. Highly recommended!

What an amazing experience! My wife and I had such a great time, we had both seen bioluminescence before but nothing like this… Greg our guide was fantastic! Couldn’t ask for a better way to spend the evening/night of my wife’s birthday.

We went out with Greg for a night time kayak to see the bioluminescent phytoplankton migrations. Greg's calm and informative demeanour meant we were feeling confident and safe before heading in, and were able to completely immerse ourselves in the experience out on the water. Kayaking around and seeing the water light up was truly a once in a lifetime experience. Thank you for hosting this wonderful method for reconnecting with the awe and magic of nature, and so generous with your knowledge and time!

I have gone on the "Into the Night" kayak tour twice now and it is a truly magical experience. Meriel and Greg are both knowledgeable and experienced. They create a very safe and inclusive tour, while also instilling a sense of deep respect for the natural world. The tour includes educational components, nature connection and fun! I highly recommend Metta Eco Experiences! You will be surprised and delighted.

We had a fabulous private tour. Took us to pristine uncrowded spots with waterfalls and, while have a healthy provided lunch on a private little island, had a close up orca sighting. Very knowledgeable and lovely guides.

This was the most magical experience. We went as a family with our 17 year old and it was a joy to paddle across the sea with the canopy of stars above and the bioluminescence below. The teaching part before we got on the water was very informative and valuable as we felt very safe embarking onto the sea in the dark. We travelled to Egmont for especially for this kayak journey and it was so worth it! It is a well run, thoughtful and thought provoking experience, being at one with the ocean. Thank you both.

Although we’d paddled Canadian canoes previously, this was our first time in a tandem sea-kayak. What a fabulous way to make that introduction. Paddling at night heightens all the senses so when the bioluminescence became visible it was magical. Every paddle stroke flashed brilliant white even with the smallest movement.
Greg gave us an excellent introduction to the marine ecosystem and the phytoplankton creating the light. This was followed by a very re-assuring introduction to the kayaks. Meriel gave a good demonstration of paddling. She also added to the experience by singing and playing a drum on the water in the dark. The memories of the evening will stay with us.

Wow! What a great adventure. We've done many outdoor activities over our lifetimes but this one was one of the best. Greg & Meriel were the best hosts in making this journey happen for us. Greg was our guide is so many ways....kayaking technique and safety, teaching us about phytoplankton bioluminescence, spiritually helping engage in the full experience of the Sechelt Inlet at night, the starry sky, the seals that played around the kayaks, and our connection with the world and interaction with nature. We had a double sea kayak. Although my wife and I have only kayaked a few times, we were warm and safe. No one should hesitate doing this for fear of capsizing. The glow of the phytoplankton is like something out of Avatar. Definitely put this on the top or your list of things to do....adjust your other plans if necessary.

Of all the incredible days we spent in BC, the day we spent with Greg and Meriel was definitely our favourite.

We (two adults and kids aged 5 and 7) took a "Rock Falls and Waterfalls" tour. This is a fantastic way to see the spectacular and unspoilt scenery of the area. We stopped for swims and to explore the beaches, learned about the wildlife and the history of the area, and were treated to a great homemade picnic.

The boat was very comfy and fast enough that we covered a lot of ground and had plenty of time for stops. Greg and Muriel's passion for the region and for ecological tourism really shone through and they were fantastic hosts. It felt more like a trip with old friends than a commercial tour.

We really can't recommend this highly enough.

A truly unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Two fantastic guides and the most incredible setting imaginable - it's like boating in the starts. A must-do!
