Being BC's Most Scenic Golf Course is the only thing keeping this place afloat! Definite lack of management & the facilities are subpar to say the least (no driving range, unsanitary & infested restaurant & clubhouse, the list could go on). Overpriced rounds and food are just the cherry on top... Do yourself a favour and steer clear of FCGC!!

We attended a gorgeous wedding in September at the Furry Creek clubhouse! The venue was an excellent choice, in a most perfect location! The photos show what a wonderful backdrop this is! Stunning natural beauty, even for those of us used to the west coast! The wedding ceremony was outdoors, and the golf carts came in handy for transporting wedding guests, and the umbrellas came to the rescue when some raindrops appeared! The staff was most accommodating. The meal was excellent. This place is highly recommended!

What a beautiful course - Only wish the staff had some degree of mannerism, esp. the course marshal (CM)
- I generally do not review even my bad experiences but this time I feel compelled as the behaviour of the course marshal was very unbecoming of anyone on a Golf Course.
> I will admit that we did sneak in some extra beers, probably not the smartest move; but certainly not deserving of what ensued
- The CM saw some beer cans in our cart, when we were putting and he parked his next to ours.
- Once we were done putting he rudely and very aggressively started picking up the beer cans without asking
- he then proceed to search our golf bags (again without our permission), and invaded our personal space
- When I asked him if we would get our beer back at the end of the 18th, he gave no response. When we pursued he started to say things like 'we will see' 'depends' 'I don't know' but without a clear answer.
- When I asked him to give me a yes or no answer, he started to call all of us 'liars' and 'cheats' (completely uncalled for)
- At this point I was convinced he was keeping the beer for himself, so I started to pour it on the grass. He then opened a can started emptying it on my shoes and pants (What a jerk), and no apology followed
IT DID NOT HAVE TO BE LIKE THIS:
> He could have just taken our beer and reminded us to buy from the course, and told us that we would get our beer back after the 18th.
> We would have continued golfing and gone home happy
He wanted to confiscate our beer and take it home to drink it, and that to me is shameful for a Course marshal.

I travel the world and this has to be the most stunning golf course in the world. The course is managed superbly. The staff are great and the food excellent. Hats off to the green staff for the quick greens and carpet fairways. The scenery is jaw dropping and I will definitely return next year.

I have been driving past furry Creek golf course for the past decade on my way to Whistler. Each time I say to myself this looks like an amazing course built right into the side of the mountain I must play it one day and finally I was able to this weekend. It did not disappoint. The first hole is spectacular you literally stand on the edge of a cliff and hit down into the valley with about a 250 foot drop off to a landing area that is framed with a lake on the left side and forests on the right it is a narrow daunting shot and each hole just gets better. As you golf course you were amazed that the architect could actually carve a golf course literally out of the side of a mountain with elevation changes of over 1000 feet from the top of the mountain all the way down to the signature 14th hole which is a 200 foot carry over the inlet from the ocean. You will pass over rushing streams and see all types of wildlife throughout the course. I guarantee you will tell your friends about the experience afterwards the food in the restaurant is very good and sitting out on the deck you have a beautiful view of the mountains. If you have the opportunity to golf here give it a try if you will not be sorry!

Decided to try lunch here after enjoying the Sea to Sky Godola ride nearby. The restaurant offers view out over the 18th hole and local Steam Works ales. The waitress was on her first day here, but nothing was too much trouble for her and what she didn't know about there menu, she soon found out for us. The food was good quality, in large portions and the local ale very refreshing. Overall a good find. Recommended.

We drove up to Whistler from Seattle and decided to check out the golf course we pass every time we head to the mountains. It was more than we expected. It was a fun and challenging course. Each hole has an incredible view and we can't wait to go back. And don't miss having a little lunch or dinner in the restaurant. Very nice staff.

Fantastic fun course with incredible views. From the moment you drive your buggy across a raging mountain stream to the first day you know this course will be something special. The first is an incredible downhill hole, though wider than it first appears. There are a couple of tricky holes on the front 9 especially, but play sensibly and you will be fine if you can hit the ball straight. I scored 36 points off an 11 handicap despite a couple of lost balls.
The 10th green especially has incredible views, then you ascend to the signature par 3 which involves a tee shot over water. Most golf holes look better from aerial shots, but this one is totally the opposite. It is far more beautiful from ground level as you are totally surrounded by water and mountains.... One of the best golfing spots in the world.
Ironically, some of my favorite holes were the two flat par 5s near the end, and a beautiful short par 3 surrounded by towering timber.
Come to Furry Creek with an open mind and prepared to lose a couple of balls, and if you have similar weather to us you will agree that it's one of the finest places to play golf in the world. Maybe not the best course, but you have to admire what they have done to create a golf course here, and there are not as many blind shots as other reviews would have you believe.
Definitely worth the trip from Vancouver, and we found it fairer and more playable than Northlands, Van's top ranked public course.

It's one of my favorite courses in Canada. It's definitly a placement shot course, spray it and play it doesn't work when you're on a mountain. They make excellent use of the landscape, often leaving a difficult lie based on the elevation and slope of the fairway. It's a blast to play, just bring lots of balls.

I almost feel as though I'm in a conflict of interest discussing this golf course. You see many years ago the Japanese company that built it was a client of mine and some of the work on securing the purchase of the land and the creation of the infrastructure was done by my firm. When the course opened I was present as a guest and enjoyed the ambience, the beautiful views and the excellent repast. The course itself is built on the side of a mountain with unbelievable ocean ( straits) views. Most golfers I have talked to say it is a difficult course with one tee off being a few hundred feet higher and above the far away green. The Clubhouse is truly magnificent in a subdued way. It has an oriental flavour in its design, not in its decoration. The walls are stone and polished wood and the various viewpoints are awesome. There is one lounge where you are seated above a waterfall that gushes by outside the floor to ceiling windows and falls to the creek below. The dining room is simple and sophisticated. The outside patio during the summer is a must try. The course uses gas powered golf carts which everyone gets because the lay of the course is very trying for those who don't like a lot of climbing hills. All in all if you are a golfer you will want to try it at least once just to say you have. if nothing else it makes for a good lead in to a conversation. If you want to have a delightful and casual lunch or dinner in a space that surrounds you with West Coast style and comfort and provides you with drop dead Water and mountain views that try this place. you will be very happy you did.

Can you assist me with any jobs available at Furry Creek
Written April 5, 2018
Heading there in late July. Any idea as to how long an average 18 holes takes? Thanks!
Written May 14, 2017
Best guess is 4.0 hours. The only issue is keeping the ball in the fairway. If you stray off the fairway, you might as well kiss the ball goodby. The course is beautiful.
