One of the best collections of historic mining equipment!
Frank and Sharon have done an amazing job bring the Yankee Boy back to life. Both are very knowledgeable and you can tell they love what they’re doing. Best mine museum we’ve been to yet!
Thanks to you both for the great review and pictures! We hope to see you again soon!

Worth Making this a Destination on your Canadian Parks Vacation
This is the place to have an authentic "mine experience". My husband and I visited Banff, Yoho, and Jasper then made sure to make our way to Grand Forks on the way back to the states. We follow Frank and Sharon on YouTube and it was great fun to meet them in person. We are two seniors who are recommending this activity to everyone!
Thank you very much Jo and Hall, we really appreciated that you took the time to visit us at our Yankee Boy mine museum, it was awesome to meet you guys! Hope to see you again :)

A glittering visit in Grand Forks
A gem of a find. Not everyday you can go down a gold mine. It’s fascinating. Frank is a wealth of information and is clearly passionate about mining and the history of mining. A must visit. Thank you Sharon and Frank!
Thank you very much for visiting us at our museum, we really appreciate the support and kind words! It was also a pleasure meeting you! Sharon and Frank

    Excellent abandoned mine tour! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We absolutely loved exploring the abandoned mine tour! I returned to Grand Forks, my hometown for a visit with my family. My husband loved all the old mining equipment, and our kids thoroughly enjoyed the tour! I would recommend wearing closed toed shoes to go in the mine as well as long pants and long sleeve shirts as it is cool down there. The tour was very informative. Frank and Sharon our very knowledgeable and welcoming. We even purchased some merch afterwards. The views are breathtaking up on the mountain of the valley below, so be sure to take lots of photos. Well worth the visit! We will be back!

Interesting and Entertaining gem of a find !
This was a great family activity for our Sunday afternoon. Our youngest grandchild is 2 years old and managed fine! The museum and preliminary information from Sharon were interesting. The sign in process straight forward. The mine tour with Frank was entertaining and very informative. We all thoroughly enjoyed our tour. As per other reviews, the mine tour is cool (9 Celsius) and a bit muddy. We were dressed in beach attire and it was a bit chilly but tolerable! A hoodie and solid shoes would have been preferred. Overall we highly recommend this activity!

Escape the heat in the mine
What an unique experience getting to walk deep into an abandoned mine. Frank was such a passionate tour guide and owner of the mine. My entire family loves it and we told people at our campsite to go visit the mine for themselves.

The mine is very easy to locate, not far from town at all so if you are visiting and do not know the area, it's not an issue.

It is very cool and Frank explained much of its history and the boys had a great time. They though t it was Batmans cave!

The views and scenery are amazing and it doesn't take a great deal of time, so if you have youngsters it is the right amount of time spent inside the mine.

Definitely worth taking a tour up if you are visiting the Boundary Country!

My fiancée and I went on a tour of Yankee Boy Mine a few days ago and it was awesome! Frank and Sharon were both very welcoming. You can tell that Frank is extremely passionate and knowledgeable about mining history. As we toured the mine, Frank gave us information pertaining to how the mines operated, what tools were used, what types of minerals were mined locally and so much more. We learned a lot!
There is also a mining museum on site that had all sorts of neat things to see.
We highly recommend this tour to anyone interested and we would love to take our families up there again!
