This gallery always has thought-provoking and outstanding installations. There are four galleries to visit and Canadian and Indigenous artists are often showcased here.
I always enjoy the atmosphere and the friendly staff. Plus, I can't help but check out the gift shop. There are beautiful collections of pottery and ceramics, jewelry and books, toys and ornaments.
For residents, there is also an art rental program here that enables you to take home works by local artists for a very reasonable price.

Nice stop. Had everything we could want: information, clean bathrooms and a lovely building with an art gallery, which we took the time to enjoy. Really loved the windows and open feeling of the gallery.

This Visitor Center is situated inside the old court house and has an excellent number of informative leaflets giving details of the attractions in the area. The lady on duty was also very helpful and friendly.

This was the first time we've been to the Wine Tasting event at the local Art and Cultural Centre in Grand Forks, BC. It was a beautifully organized event and the entire gallery was lit up for the season, showcasing " A Season Of Song". Musical instruments, fairy lights, enormous Christmas trees and a beautifully curated representation of regional wineries, breweries and small batch gourmet vendors were enjoyed by over two hundred patrons, all dressed to kill. A feast for the eyes as well as the palate! Entire rooms dedicated to both sweet and savoury finger foods ensured that we all had something delicious to eat. This little Canadian town knows how to throw a gala! Well done!

This visitor centre grows above all centres visited by us.
Located inside, the nicely restored, old courthouse, built over century ago, by famous architect, has it all and much more. Very friendly and informative staff, beautiful location, community oriented permanent presentation, well supplied gift shop and 3 separate seasonal exhibits on the upper floor.
All these exhibits are first class representing good artistic work.
Reserve more time then for the average visit.

We had NEVER been to Grand Forks before. Usually if we go somewhere new we typically look for a Visitor Information Centre, Museum and Chamber of Commerce to learn a little about the area and to get tips about where to stay and what to do. I apologize for not remembering names but a young lady, possibly high school or college student, working at the Visitor Centre on our first visit was tremendous. In addition to having answers to all of our questions, it was because of her that we spent the night and visited the Doukabour Heritage Museum and Flour Mill the following day - two places we would have not even noticed. PLUS, we toured the downtown Farmer's Market and got a few deals. The following week on our way home we spent another night in Grand Forks and again visited this Visitor Centre. We toured the Art Gallery and Museum (in the same building) as a result. The staff here are truly what interested us in spending so much time in this community! Thank you.

Thank for taking the time to review the various places you visited while you were in Grand Forks last summer. It must have been a memorable experience and that is very rewarding for us to know that we had a little part in making it so. Hope to see you again in our neck of the woods again this year.

We are so glad we stopped by to get some information about the Doukhobors. The lady in the centre gave us all the information we needed and more. Without her help we would have not known about the Doukhobor heritage centre in Castlegar. Although she told us the centre was closed for the season she still gave us directions to get there to see the buildings from outside. However the museum was open for an extra few days after the season at no charge, so we managed to see it.

The first floor has displays on local history with lots of old photographs. Other rooms have art for sale, the gift shop, and a tourist information center. Dawsha, in the information center, was very friendly and helpful. We were interested in the area's Doukhobor history and she was able to send us toward Doukhobor sites of historical interest and recommended restaurants where we could sample Russian foods.

Doukhobour history and wonderful "Borscht" are one of the top ten inquiries we receive in the Visitor Centre. After checking out some of the former villages on the Doukhobour Heritage Drive, the display at the Boundary Museum and Flour Mill, trying some borscht, pyrahi or voreniki at the local restaurants is a must do! Thanks for visiting us and the great review.
