Overview

Elephant Island began as a family haven, a place of summer picnics, orchard adventures and magical holidays on the Naramata Bench. Today the elephant has grown into a 6,000 case winery driven to craft wines of character. Wines that sing with the unconventional voice of vanguard fruit. Wines that are balanced by a reverence for traditional winemaking practices. Wines that are rooted and inspired by family history.

I love this little place. A definite stop for some amazing wines and friendly atmosphere! Add it to your tour for sure! Left with my favourite liquid raspberry heaven, Framboise.

Nice little old place. The atmosphere was great. It was a busy little spot but it did accommodate our 8 person group. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The wine was great. Thanks again.

The winery was cute with its elephants. However we didn't taste the wine. We found the parking confusing, and it was a little busy. Outside there were a lot of wasps, and the tables and chairs didn't look inviting.

We had so much fun! Thank you Patti! We sat out on the lovely little patio that is tucked into the orchard for our tasting. So pretty. Patti told us all about the various orchard wines and the grape based wines. Loved the blackberry and...More

This winery is lovely and everything they have to offer is amazing. It was one of our last stops over a few days of wine tasting and we had to cram the car with everything we bought. I had the blackcurrent wine a few years...More

we stopped at elephant island doing our own tour of the Naramata wineries - it was one of the last ones we did and was one of the nicest. The fruit wines were a nice switch - they all seem to run together. There was...More

My wife doesn't drink wine but I managed to talk her into a quick stop because of the fruit wines. I tried the fruit wine flight and really enjoyed the black currant (and am taking home a bottle) and wished that there was still some...More

They produce fruit wines, with the tasting in the patio. We concentrated on the red blends that are excellent and good to keep for few years, at very reasonable prices.

We biked in on our personal wine tour. To be quite honest felt a little unwelcome. In their defence there was a wine tour group in there but they could have been more friendly. They have a mix of fruit and grape wines which might...More
