We had an extra day and Toby Creek accommodated 3 of us in a last-minute request. We did the "Taste of the Valley" ATV package with 2 16-year-olds. The instructor was great - took extreme care of the young teenagers and made them comfortable behind the wheel of an ATV. They had a great time. In fact, this ATV adventure was their best activity in the Canadian Rockies. Thank you, Toby Creek!

Excellent/Safe atv tour. Our guide, Davis, helped us with an unplanned awkward medical situation, while keeping the tour going for the other guests. Beautiful scenery. Well maintained equipment. Thank you

Our group of 3 went on an ATV tour up the mountain. I had a bum knee and wasn't sure I could do it. No Problem! The staff and guides answered all my phone calls with questions ahead of time and when I arrived. You go on a bunny run first to get used to the machine. The ATV's gas is operated with your right thumb, so if you have arthritis, know that beforehand. Getting on and off with a bum knee was no problem. You stop a couple of times to look at the view. You end up at a cabin with an outhouse, seating with a great view, coffee, tea, or water, and a mountain-size cookie.
This was a high point of my whole groups' vacation. The ATVs are in excellent shape. The tour guides make sure everyone has a great time. We stopped in Radium Hot Springs beforehand at Fired Up Burgers and Breakfast and went afterward to Horsethief Creek Pub and Eatery for dinner. I would highly recommend both.

Had a great ride up to the mine the other day with Alex as our guide. He was very knowledgeable and let us on a great trip. The view is spectacular. One word of caution, even if the weather is sunny and 85 take rain gear with you including gloves. When we left it was beautiful out and roughly half way up it started raining. Needless to say since it was nice, we left our rain gear in the car. Luckily the family with us had some extra gear and even though it was a passing shower it was nice to have, particularly the gloves, as your hands get wet and cold quickly since they have no protection. Other than that it was awesome and would love to do it again. For those so interested, there is also rafting right up the street.

We did the SXS / ATV three hour tour yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our guide Mitch was excellent, he was really knowledgeable about the area and happy to answer all questions about the area.
The scenery was absolutely stunning as we climbed into the mountains to the mine cabin and had a few breaks along the way to take pictures and even climb a short distance to a waterfall. We were really lucky with the weather as it did get colder the higher we climbed.
It was a good size group of twelve people with a mixture of quad bikes and side by sides, allowing for people to change drivers along the way if they wanted to take turns.
The vehicles were really good and equipment provided (helmets/goggles etc) and full safety measures in place.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for some off road adventure and incredible scenery.

Had a brilliant ATV tour up the mountain to the old silver mine and a few stops along the way to take in the views as well as a look at the Marmot waterfall. Davis was a great tour guide, interesting and informative. Well worth the drive from Banff, would highly recommend!!

Great fun driving our SXS vehicle up to Paradise mine and back down via the old mine processing area and waterfall. Davis was an excellent guide, looking after our safety and giving us an entertaining account of all the places we visited and the photo stops.

Hi, I'm planning on coming over from UK to Invermere in September...would love to do the white water rafting and kayaking. How far are you from Invermere?

Hello
We run ATV tours not rafting. If you are looking for rafting we suggest contacting Kootenay River Runners.

the area can still have some snow in May so not sure... they are pretty helpful so I'd suggest emailing them.

Hi, we are thinking about doing the Paradise mine ATV tour on Monday Oct. 3 but have been told by friends that ATVing is an invitation to the chiropractors office the next day. We are healthy, active 66 year olds with no health problems. What is your experience with people our age on this tour?
Thanks
Catherine

Hi Catherine,
We're glad you are planning to come for an ATV tour with us in October. We have been operating tours for twenty years and have had many guests in your age group come out with us to enjoy our ATV and snowmobile tours.
Our tours operate on an old mining road which we maintain regularly. It has recently been graded top to bottom and in general it is a reasonably smooth easy ride. There are "water-bars" and stream crossings and other bumps and uneven surfaces that you would expect to find on any back-country road however if you slow down and drive through these areas carefully there is no reason why you should experience any undue problems.
If you are concerned then we recommend upgrading to a side-by-side machine as these absorb the bumps very well and we consider them smoother than an ATV. In addition you are seated in the machine rather than riding on top of it and this is probably a more relaxed position, like driving a car. There is more information about our side-by-side units on our website (sorry we are not permitted to post the link here)
Our tours are not high-speed - we always advise all our guests to drive at the speed that they are comfortable and in control. We make multiple stops to look at the views and to get off the machines and relax and talk with the guide and other guests. This is also a good opportunity to have a stretch and walk about a bit. In addition we have a nice warm cabin to relax in and enjoy a hot drink and snack or, on the full-day tour, a full BBQ lunch.
Please feel free to give us a call if you would like more information or wish to discuss your question in more detail. We do everything possible to ensure your comfort and enjoyment and look forward to your visit.
Thank you to all our past guests who have taken some time to respond to Catherine here also - we appreciate your help and support.
Best Regards,
Toby Creek Adventures
