We really enjoyed this tour of Stanley Park with Alfonso, a member of the shíshálh Nation. Alfonso welcomed us with a song and taught us a traditional greeting. We wandered along the seawall with him as he helped us see the park, the bay, and Vancouver as they would have been experienced by the original inhabitants. He was extremely knowledgeable about indigenous culture and practices. We learned so much and parted reluctantly, eager to seek out more information about Alfonso's nation and the other first nations of Canada. A delightful experience and highly recommended.

Our high school booked a tour with Talaysay Tours for the Capilano River Hatchery walk up in North Vancouver. It was so great to be able to listen to the stories from our guide Wes, who also shared his language and hand signs with us. We learned so much, and it was great for the students to be outdoors and learn about the different types of plants and trees, and their significance to the First Nations people. Thank you to the Talaysay team, and to Christine who helped arrange everything for us. We truly appreciate the experience!

The teachers and students at Island Pacific School loved this tour! We were led through the forests of Stanley Park and visited the beach, hearing stories from our guides. The guides worked well with our students, and answered their questions with thoughtful responses. Thank you so much to our guides and Talaysay Tours for welcoming us and graciously sharing their knowledge and experiences with us.
