Cam was extremely helpful to make our anniversary day in Sechelt very special. We flew in with Harbour Air so Cam arranged for us to use their bikes to peddle around town before our kayak rental. The double kayak was a new experience for both of us and he provided just the right amount of advice and directions.

We rented a double kayak for half a day, booked online and paid deposit. The kayak was an ocean kayak, nice to paddle and pretty new. It was a very hot and calm day. Unfortunately it was quite boring paddling around with nothing very much to see except float plane and boats. There are a lot of jelly fish at the launch area. We kayak at three places during this trip to Sunshine coast, this is the least enjoyable one. It is really just a location thing, no fault of the rental company. Would prefer the Egmont adventure rental where we saw a colony of seals up close and personal, and the pedals and paddles where we kayak to the “ aquarium”. They also require a minimum of four hours rental so personally we will stick to other kayak rental company.

Cam, Charlotte and everyone we met at Halfmoon Sea Kayaks was wonderful. If you want to go sea kayaking in Sechelt I'm sure many people could provide that, but if you want to go sea kayaking in Sechelt with a guide team who will actively try to selflessly enrich your experience and inspire you, go with Cam and his crew! My partner and I were on a personal trip and Cam generously helped us with a Portage, despite the fact he doesn't formally offer that service and it was a busy day at his shop. He was very knowledgable about the area and didnt hesitate to share his knowledge. The guide team clearly has a high attention to detail, and are safe, responsible, and fun kayak guides; high quality human beings too. The shop was very welcoming! Thanks Cam & Charlotte! Hope you're having a lovely summer :)

Thank you so much to Cam and Charla for an evening we will never forget. Our party was four adults and four teens (13-15). We joined three other single paddlers for an amazing evening of breath-taking views, wildlife spotting, a moonlit paddle and playing with bioluminescence. Cam and Charla were fantastic guides. They ran a helpful orientation ensuring everyone was set up for a safe and enjoyable evening. As we paddled Cam and Charla engaged with each participant to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. Midway, we stopped for a very elegant snack and watched the sunset. The trip home by moonlight was truly magical: gliding on velvet water and learning about bioluminescence. We all would 100% recommended you take a trip with Cam and co. We know we’ll go out with them again!!

Conveniently located, pickup process is a breeze. Straps were provided to mount the kayaks to the car. We went to North Thormanby Island, the departure point for which is about a 15 minute drive from the rental. There is a lake right next to it, which is another option for a trip. We were given maps and suggested the best place to leave from, and were given tips on the points of interest along the way. A 24-36 hour rental is suggested for such trip :) Thanks a lot!
