This is a very scenic course at the foot of 8400 ft Hudson Bay Mountain. There are several carries over deeply incised creeks and a couple of ponds with a few opportunities for the brave long hitters to take shortcuts on some of the doglegs. On the downside are the pebbly bunkers and the fact that being in northern BC the course is really only playable from late April to end of October (usually). It is a delight to play in summer. The club house restaurant and pro shop provide usual services, including scenic views from the restaurant.

Can't be beat.

This is a fantastic golf course with 18 holes - some very challenging to me and some just perfect. The restaurant with a liquor licence when you are finished is the final perfect touch to a wonderful experience with beautiful views where ever you look.

Breathtaking Views!

The SGCC boasts one of the most stunning views of any golf course I've been on. Majestic Hudson Bay Mountain towers above the course and the greens and fairways are beautifully maintained. A mixture of hazards utilize the natural environment, including a fish bearing stream that runs through it. Trailer and Campers can find parking for tournement goers and the town of Smithers is a 3 minute drive. The restaurant balcony has the best view of the mountain and the course and you can enjoy lunch or dinner even if you're not playing golf. You can choose to watch the 18th green, the putting green, or the 10th tee box and the food is standard golf club fare with decent prices. No matter your ability, there's something here for every skill level.
