We had an amazing time with Campbell ice fishing yesterday. The fish may have been sparse but he made sure we had a great time and was so knowledgeable about “all things Canada” not just ice fishing.
We would highly recommend this experience - so interesting and fun
Thanks Campbell!!

We went Ice Fishing with Campbell with my 4 adult children. We really enjoyed our time walking across the lake in the snow, watching him drill holes in the ice and although we didn't catch much in the way of fish, the experience was fantastic. We were nice and cosy in the tent and amazing how clear the water is to see the fish in. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and the time went really quickly. Would highly recommend for any person looking for a fun activity in the winter in Sun Peaks.
My only constructive comments would be as follows:
1) My wife couldn't come as there were only seats in the car for 5 people so she was disappointed to miss out on a family day out. We didn't have access to a car as we had flown in from Oz. Transport catering to the larger family group would be useful in our situation.
2)Apart from the cost of the half day (about $550 CAD), there is a requirement to purchase a 1 day fishing license at the cost of $21 each($125 CAD in our case). So that added an extra 20% to the cost of the trip. Maybe if Campbell can talk to the regulator about buying a number of annual licenses that he can hold on his guests behalf and amortize the costs over the year by adding a few dollars to each trip rather than every individual being slugged for a 1 day fishing license would be possible. It's money for old rope for the Canadian Government.

Hi, Campbell here from Elevated fishing Adventures.
Thank you for coming out on the ice and thank for the comments. Unfortunately transportation and access to the lake can be challenging over the course of the winter, with up to 50cm of snow falling over night on our roads and ice and snow guaranteed when we leave the pavement. Having a pick up truck is the only way to carry the large mount of gear in the bed and transport passengers safely, the limiting factor being seats for myself and 5 other guests. Guests are permitted to drive themselves if their group is between 5 and the maximum of 8 but do require their own vehicle. Fishing licences are also a requirement from the BC government and I have no control over the system that we have, I have spoken with the agencies in charge about sorting out a system but currently I cannot purchase licences for guests. Each guests might require a different licence, many guests already have a licence and any one under 16 does not require one so every day is different. I will mention that all the proceeds from fishing licence sales go to managing our natural resources so I thank you for your purchases. Hope that helps answer some questions and hope to have you join me on the ice in the future.

What a wonderful family event. We are part time resident of Sun Peaks and hadn’t been out ice fishing before. Campbell was fabulous logistics and handling all of the set up and take down. He is great with young kids in getting them set up and providing lots of environmental information about the lake and surrounding area. Such a great activity to add into a ski vacation.

We took our three kids (9,11,13) on this half day trip for an afternoon fish. Campbell our guide was knowledgeable and thoughtful to our needs throughout the afternoon. It was a new experience for us, we didn’t catch many but saw quite a few. I think the kids would have had more fun if we were catching more but that’s fishing, and they made do playing on the lake and making snowmen. The shelter we fished in was warm and hot chocolates a welcome afternoon treat. Lots of fun and fully recommended! Be prepared to use the bush if you have to pee.

Campbell is an energetic, knowledgeable, funny and excellent teacher. We went ice fishing on a very cold, rainy day - but you wouldn't know it being inside the ice tent. We were warm, dry and having the time of our lives. We had 2 anglers in our group of 5 but everyone walked away talking about how awesome the trip was. We all seemed to have come away with different experienes and top moments. A must for everyone in the family. We caught 3 in the end but saw many more. I can't explain how cool it really was looking into the ice lake. Super Cool. Campbell cleaned and deliverd the fish to our hotel room. YUMMMMM. Thanks heaps. Highly Recommend - 5 stars all day long! We did the half day but I could have stayed all day long.

Thanks for Joining me on our adventure. One of the few angling experiences that any one from 4- 90 years old can participate and have a really good chance at catching some fishing with no fishing experience required.

My wife and I recently went ice fishing with Campbell and Elevated Fishing Adventures. Campbell went above and beyond to make the tour such an amazing experience.
Once we arrived to beautiful Heffley lake, Campbell knew just what spot of the lake to set up on, and within moments we were under a tent and fishing!
Under shelter and warm, with lines in the water, Campbell kept us entertained with stories and facts about Sun Peaks, fishing, and nature.
His passion for fishing and the outdoors was obvious, and with his help and expertise we managed to snag plenty of fish and memories.
Thanks Campbell for such a great time, we will be back again.

The ice-fishing trip was a surprise for my teenage brother (an avid fisherman) who came to visit my partner and I from the UK. I mainly went because it was a bucket list item for him, and I really didn't think I'd be that into it. Boy, was I wrong! Despite having never picked up a fishing rod, Campbell was helpful, knowledgeable and made sure we had everything we needed for a successful morning ice fishing - I even caught the most fish (my brother will never live that down!). What's more, Campbell is extremely personable, so whilst he was still professional it never felt awkward being sat in a tent with him for a few hours.
I had the most fun and didn't want to stop fishing when it came time to leave. I would recommend this awesome winter activity to anyone!!

Thanks for joining me on the hardwater. Its easy to spend an entire day in the hut once you see the fish swimming below you and they are biting.

We had a fantastic time with Campbell, he's affable, knowledgeable and was extremely patient with my 2 young kids who kept crossing up their lines. I'm typically hesitant to give up a day skiing for any other activity but I'd do this again with Campbell in a second. Added to the great experience was that the surroundings are beautiful and worth a visit in and of themselves. Thanks for such a fun day and we hope to do it again soon!
