Campbell made the afternoon a breeze and took care of everything including teaching my son and I how to ice fish as neither of us had done it before, let alone much fishing at all. Campbell knows his stuff and was good at explaining and answering the many questions we had for him. The highlight for me was being able to watch the trout only 10 feet below us through the fishing hole. The water was remarkably clear and seemed to glow as we sat in the darkened fishing tent. It was great! We went home with trout to cook for dinner and enjoyed this one of a kind experience on the ice. I highly recommend this adventure!…

A lovely afternoon spent on the ice. We have the impression being alone in the world!! Fantastic, children enjoyed as well and what to say about eagle ballet when we catch our fishes. We will come back for sure!! Thanks a lot Campbell to share this moment with us.

We went Ice Fishing with Campbell with my 4 adult children. We really enjoyed our time walking across the lake in the snow, watching him drill holes in the ice and although we didn't catch much in the way of fish, the experience was fantastic. We were nice and cosy in the tent and amazing how clear the water is to see the fish in. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and the time went really quickly. Would highly recommend for any person looking for a fun activity in the winter in Sun Peaks. My only constructive comments would be as follows: 1) My wife couldn't come as there were only seats in the car for 5 people so she was disappointed to miss out on a family day out. We didn't have access to a car as we had flown in from Oz. Transport catering to the larger family group would be useful in our situation. 2)Apart from the cost of the half day (about $550 CAD), there is a requirement to purchase a 1 day fishing license at the cost of $21 each($125 CAD in our case). So that added an extra 20% to the cost of the trip. Maybe if Campbell can talk to the regulator about buying a number of annual licenses that he can hold on his guests behalf and amortize the costs over the year by adding a few dollars to each trip rather than every individual being slugged for a 1 day fishing license would be possible. It's money for old rope for the Canadian Government.…

Hi, Campbell here from Elevated fishing Adventures. Thank you for coming out on the ice and thank for the comments. Unfortunately transportation and access to the lake can be challenging over the course of the winter, with up to 50cm of snow falling over night on our roads and ice and snow guaranteed when we leave the pavement. Having a pick up truck is the only way to carry the large mount of gear in the bed and transport passengers safely, the limiting factor being seats for myself and 5 other guests. Guests are permitted to drive themselves if their group is between 5 and the maximum of 8 but do require their own vehicle. Fishing licences are also a requirement from the BC government and I have no control over the system that we have, I have spoken with the agencies in charge about sorting out a system but currently I cannot purchase licences for guests. Each guests might require a different licence, many guests already have a licence and any one under 16 does not require one so every day is different. I will mention that all the proceeds from fishing licence sales go to managing our natural resources so I thank you for your purchases. Hope that helps answer some questions and hope to have you join me on the ice in the future.

The ice-fishing trip was a surprise for my teenage brother (an avid fisherman) who came to visit my partner and I from the UK. I mainly went because it was a bucket list item for him, and I really didn't think I'd be that into it. Boy, was I wrong! Despite having never picked up a fishing rod, Campbell was helpful, knowledgeable and made sure we had everything we needed for a successful morning ice fishing - I even caught the most fish (my brother will never live that down!). What's more, Campbell is extremely personable, so whilst he was still professional it never felt awkward being sat in a tent with him for a few hours. I had the most fun and didn't want to stop fishing when it came time to leave. I would recommend this awesome winter activity to anyone!!…

Thanks for joining me on the hardwater. Its easy to spend an entire day in the hut once you see the fish swimming below you and they are biting.
