My friend and I had an amazing experience with Tide Rip Grizzly Tours. Our host, Laura, and Skipper, Tom, were knowledgeable, experienced and entertaining. They also demonstrated their respect for wildlife so we got to enjoy seeing the grizzlies without harassing them. We were provided with a light breakfast, a delicious lunch and lots of interesting information about the grizzlies. Thanks so much to Laura and Tom - it was worth every penny. I highly recommend it. Left from Telegraph Cove. 8 passengers. Me from USA and friend from AU. The day before there was bad weather and that day was cancelled so we were lucky. Cloudy but not rainy. Saw 5 years including mom and cub. No whales. Sea lions on way back. Were fortunate enough to see a black bear, not close up, on the way back. Sue and Mike were excellent hosts. Interesting people. Would ask for them if we went back. I got great pictures just from phone cam, although I used it and SLR. We'd definitely go back although it seems a long way up from the ferry.…

Excellent trip, we saw Grizzlies, Orcas and Humpback (in distance ) . Very informative and knowledgeable guide , Laura and the Captain , Mike who made the trip fun despite the very wet and miserable weather. Only hiccup was we didn’t get a full lunch as our request for vegetarian meals was missed. Do take some cash with you! Telegraph Cove does not have an ATM and in this cashless society we didn’t have any cash with us and felt embarrassed not to have left a tip as they deserved it, Sorry guys!…

This was our 5th adventure with Tide Rip Grizzly Tours. We’ve been at different times of the year but this was the earliest in the season. The weather was decent when we left and remained good for our trip up to Glendale Cove. We saw 3 grizzlies on our way into the cove. Once we transferred to the skiff and headed to the estuary we saw two more bears. We then headed back for a lunch break and that’s when the sky opened up ! By the time we headed back out on the water the weather was clear and nice. After lunch we saw three more bears ! It was an amazing day hanging with these amazing animals !!…
