Tide Rip Grizzly Tours Ltd. is a small independent company located in Telegraph Cove on Northern Vancouver Island, British Columbia. For over 15 years, Tide Rip has been leading daily boat-based expeditions to view and photograph the wild grizzly bears and other spectacular wildlife native to coastal British Columbia. We subscribe to the philosophy: 'conservation through coexistence' and endeavour to promote that through outreach education programs and presentations, fundraising projects, and sponsoring conservation NGOs, in addition to our daily grizzly bear tours.

This was our second time with Tide Rip and there sure will be more in the years to come. Last time we visited the grizzlies in september, they were all full and round from feeding on salmon...this time was all different, but no less awe-inspiring...More

Very knowledgeable skipper and guide, we saw 10 grizzlys in total, even the Tide Rip staff were really impressed. Breakfast and lunch excellent. Definitely worth the money, I have a bridge camera and am happy with my photos, the memories are more important for me....More

We did a tour end of June and had a great experience. Well organized and we saw a lot of wildlife - including Grizzlies. Quite high Price for the tour, but great value for money.Will recommend.

The crew that took us out on the 19th June 2017 were fantastic,knowledgeable,great communicators and passionate about their jobs.Every aspect of the tour was faultless,we saw grizzlies,whales,dolphins,birds and breath taking scenery.There was plenty of on board sustenance and a very good lunch at "Lagoon Cove".

Thanks for bringing your guests from Austria to go out with us. We love it when the tour starts with an eagles diving on a herring ball, nature at its best.

There is Tofino Bus service that leaves early from Victoria (has online schedule) to Port McNeill where you can lodge or immedailtey take a taxi to Telegraph Cove and lodge in Telegraph Cove Resort.

Yes, we pick up at the Municipal Dock, in front of the Passin’ Tyme Cafe at 640 am in the spring and summer, at variable times in September. There is a $20 per person fuel surcharge for Alert bay pick ups. Please do not book... More
