We are still reeling from our incredible 7-day journey with AWE Adventures. We paddled through Johnstone Straight, Blackfish Sound and the Broughton Archipelago. Wesley & our guide Dave went above and beyond to accommodate us. Dave's eagle eyes and incredible knowledge of the area were invaluable in our search for wildlife. We saw river otters, sea lions, orca, humpbacks, seals, Dall's porpoise and more. We learned so much from Dave and his love of the area and respect for its wildlife blew us away. He was also a FANTASTIC cook. A special delivery of cold beer from Wesley on our last night was the perfect ending to our trip. We watched humpbacks play offshore in the pink light of the setting sun and were so thankful that we had chosen AWE adventures to guide our journey. These guys are doing everything right - we cannot recommend them enough. **BONUS - The Chairs!! None of the other tour groups we encountered had chairs with them. After a long day of paddling the luxury of a chair is not to be underestimated***

Overall experience with water’s edge was excellent! West was extremely easy to work with over email. He was extremely accommodating of last minute travel dates changing due to covid restrictions. Location is extremely easy to find and has parking for vehicles while adventuring. Would highly recommend!!

Just got back from an amazing 3-day trip with AWE adventures in the Johnstone strait. saw countless humpbacks, sea lions and all sorts of other wildlife. Guides were great, equipment was top of the line and the meals were delicious. Not to mention the region is stunning. Want to go back next year to do it all again. Highly recommend, even if you don’t have prior sea kayaking experience!

We went on a guided 3-day Johnstone Strait kayaking trip with Wes. It was incredible: - Amazing views (even with some rain and fog) - Countless wildlife species including Orcas, Humpbacks, Sea Lions and Seals - The best camping food we have ever had. - Excellent gear. We had the coziest most amazing sleep throughout the trip. - Super helpful and knowledgeable guide. Had a great time. Can't wait for our next trip!

We couldn't be happier with our Johnstone Strait / Blackfish Sound trip with AWE! Communication with Wes leading up to the trip was excellent and got us very excited. Detailed answers to all our questions was provided. On the water we had top notch gear and phenomenal guiding from Rob, who structured each day to take advantage of tides and currents and to give us the best chance of seeing wildlife. And we saw LOTS of wildlife! He was also a pretty good cook. Highly recommended.
