Greatest gift to the Shawnigan Community
Nyubu has been the greatest gift to me since its opening in October 2023. I somehow managed to come on the first weekend it opened, and immediately bought a membership. Megan is a huge reason why I cherish this place so much. Kind, funny, hard working, real, and generous, Megan has created a welcoming and warm space. Thanks to my membership, I have the ability to access this wonderful space multiple times a week. I have felt such a positive emotional and physical change since I started three weeks ago, and now I am hooked! Research has shown the tremendous benefits a nordic circuit can have, and to have access to this right here in Shawnigan is truly a blessing. I cannot recommend this haven enough. Thank you Megan and Simon for creating this community space... It is a true gift and look forward to many, many more visits.

    Great experience!
First outing after baby and it was amazing!! My body was so sore and felt so good after, my mind fog from lack of sleep went away it felt great. Amazing atmosphere and the owner couldn’t be friendlier!! As a first time hot/cold therapy go’er I really appreciated the different ways you could use cold after the sauna (bucket quick splash or rain shower) … if the plunge in the tub was to intimidating! The fire pit area was an amazing add to the ambiance! I got to chat with my best friend and met a couple other ppl as well! The community experience was great and even if you don’t feel like chatting there’s plenty of room to get your own space! 10/10 would recommend going

    Tranquility Close to Home
Looking for tranquility in the southern Cowichan Valley region? Look no further! Nyubu is located inside the town of Shawnigan Lake and is nestled away among the trees and glory in a small suburb. Community visits are economical at $30/visit and private sessions for a party up to 8 people is an option between $250 & $400 My friend and I have visited Nyubu 5 times since their opening, once for a private 3 hour session and various community sessions that run 90 minutes. The space that is set up for the sauna and cold dips is tranquil and inviting! Cold options include a bucket dump, 2 submersion tubs and a rain shower. The sauna is never not hot enough and the community of people that come together in the space are always warm and inviting. 10/10 recommend

    Soothing Serenity!
I highly recommend a visit to this incredible oasis! I’ve visited a half dozen times since it’s opening. Once for a private session and the other times in the Community sessions. I’ve had the chance to meet some of the most incredible people during Community Sessions. The wood burning sauna with its scenic view of the of the forest is an experience in itself. The cold options are two submersion tubs, a rain shower and a bucket. The fire pit is a great addition to the serenity of this space. I am so grateful for this place and will continue to introduce as many people as I can.
