Easy to get to, lovely scenic river. Too camping is no longer allowed, the campsite had a fire some time ago so campsite is closed. River level is pretty low. Saw a small otter going about it's business, oblivious to us. Walked part way up the river towards the train trestle. I think that the loop trail from the park to the trestle would be a lovely 2 hour or so hike. Signage could be a little better.

I'm glad there's no overnight stays allowed in the park anymore. It was getting horribly messy with the punks and rednecks partying down there all the time. The police cleaned them out pretty well now and it's a decent place to visit again. Cross the bridge and the endless old logging roads take you up into the hills for great hikes. Do yourself a favour, though and take a dog with you. I've run into bear and cougar up there a few times over the years. Now I always take my shorty 12 gauge as well as my dog. Hey, I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. You do get the odd yahoos on dirt bikes ripping around up there, but that's usually on weekends. It can be wonderfully quiet up there mid-week.

This is a spot to take 10-15 minutes to go for a pleasant walk along an easy trail. Would recommend it for seniors as it isn't too long or difficult to navigate. Would also recommend seeing it in fall or winter when the river is flowing at its highest. Breath taking views of the rain forest. Easy access..

There are several ways to enter the park. Check your hiking site or guidebook for details.

Walking is great, especially once you get off the logging roads and onto the trails.

Kinsol Trestle is worth a visit. It's been strengthened so it's safe to walk on. Lookouts on either side are being built. It's an easy hike from the nearest parking lots.

Nice easy drive. Last kilometre is gravel. No facilities that I saw. Steep but a quick walk from the parking lot to some deep pools by the bridge. Great for a refreshing dip. Water levels were still good at this time of the year. Lots of old logging road converted to trails to hike on. You can hike to the Kinsol trestle from this access too. I will definitely be going back here.

The trails in Koksilah River Provincal Park are really good and perfect for running. The trails goes close the river and sometimes also parallel to the river and the river is beautiful and you can see in the river also some fishes and crabs.

This is such a wonderful location - right on the river and near the Rapids. The Province has decided that they won't allow overnight camping. What a waste of a great family location. Someone politically will have to jump on the band-wagon and get this area open again to the general public so camping is available.
