This small town just off the Trans Canada Highway an Hour east of Winnipeg, is beautiful! You can camp, rent Cabins, wander the well maintained roads and streets! Visit the beautiful sand beach, to swim, picnic and play! A great spot for all ages! There is a fairly good grocery store, 2 main restaurants, a bakery, ice cream stops, and a couple of great shops and even a laundry mat! A hardware store where you can pick up items, including liquor! Beer is sold at the Falcon Motel! The beach, does not have life guards but a cordoned of swimming area!
There is a kiosk at the beach selling cold drinks, ice cream and hotdogs!
Lots of people go to the beach with picnics, portable BBQ's and more!
One must purchase a park pass, I suggest the annual at $40.00, purchase at the .Shell Station in town! It must be displayed at all times! Even if you rent Cabins or stay at a motel, you need the Park Pass!
A great place to vacation in the summer!

Stayed at Falcon Beach Ranch. Loved our family weekend away. Cute little town and beautiful beach. Little play ground for the kids. Washrooms on site. There is a place to rent paddle boards, kayaks etc. on site near the parking lot as well.

My wife's first hi way drive and I wanted to make it special. We couldn't get a hotel or other accommodation so we paid the park pass and had lunch at the Bristol. Then we did some shopping; the loon the hard ware store and others. I'll review the stores we went to separately.

What to say about Falcon Lake...
Not my favorite place but it's close to home.
It is very dated and seems as though there is no money to spend on a nice park. The roads are very bumpy and the buildings are all that ugly brown color.
I think there are waaaay too many boats on the lake churning up all the plants into very fine particles making the lake appear dirty.
It frequently has bad swimmers itch.
The beach is nice but the boat traffic is ridiculous. It would be better if there were no motors allowed on the lake and try and make it a cleaner lake for everyone.
I understand some people like the motor boats but if you don't this isn't the place for you.
