I was the tour leader for a group of 21 lighthouse enthusiasts from all over the USA (U.S. Lighthouse Society). We booked this cruise at the very end of the season to see the lighthouses that are located a few miles offshore of Grand Manan Island. Captain Peter got us up close and personal to all of them, but especially... More

We had a great experience. We called ahead to make a booking, as we didn't want to be disappointed. They told us to bring layers of clothing as it could get chilly out at sea. This was great advise, and we had gloves, hats, and water-resistant jackets. We sailed in a boat fishing with seating for about 15 - 20... More

I went with them in 2004 with the highlight being two humpbacks playing around the boat for an hour setting off the depth finder since they got so close to the bottom. My first experience was out of this world! In 2010, the dolphins were the highlight making you think you were at Sea World. NOW in 2016- today, we... More

This was a really nice, informative experience seeing humpback whales and pelagic birds and conversing w interesting, pleasant people. The three staff people are all local to the island (we had met one of them earlier in the week out birding at Castalia Marsh) and v knowledgeable about the natural history of the region. The Bay of Fundy around Grand... More

We went on a SeaWatch tour last week off Grand Manan. Peter and his crew were absolutely brilliant. We learned a ton about the seabirds in the Bay of Fundy, the massive tides (and it was a full moon that day, so it was extra high!), and of course, the incredible whales. This was actually our 3rd trip with SeaWatch,... More

Did I mention that we saw a lot of whales? WHAT AN WONDERFUL TIME! This was our best experience on Grand Manan Island. Big whales, baby whales, humpbacks and a fin whale. Plus a ton of seals and birds everywhere. We also saw dolphins on the ride back. We left the harbour at 11:30 and didn't get back until after... More

The captain of the boat could not get any closer to the whales! They swam underneath the boat! The whales were breaking the water all through the voyage! It was simply amazing! We were so excited to see the whales up close. The most enjoyable part was when the captain turned the engine off so we could hear the whales... More

Three friends(women) came to Grand Manan specifically to go to Machias Seal Is. to see puffins....the tour was cancelled 2 times due to high winds and waves that would prevent a landing at the island. But on the third day, we got to go and it was so special. Left dock at 7 a.m., had a 1 1/2 smooth ride... More

Sea Watch Tours is a company with a long and excellent track record. The Captain and crew offer a safe and comfortable boat and years of expertise and knowledge. Wildlife is never a sure thing, but we were fortunate enough to see five fin whales and several resting humpbacks quite close to the vessel. We saw several species of seabirds... More

Had the best time on the Day's Catch with Durlan and Peter! Durlan is an incredible host and so knowledgable about all of the birds and whales. He really made our trip something special. I will be back next year and can't wait to see Durlan again. I still have so much to learn from him!
