We went on the Whale Watch tour last Saturday! It was extreemly foggy but the Captain & Crew were amazing at spotting the whales and getting us close to them! We got to see Humpback Whales, and saw them breech the water several times. The...More

We had the most extraordinary experience on our July 21, 2018 Puffin tour. Durlan and Peter provided a smooth ride to and from the island , pointing out fin whales, porpoises, shear waters and even a stop at seals! The weather was beautiful, but as...More

This tour to Machias Seal Island is PHENOMENAL. My husband, teenage son and I had a truly memorable experience watching puffins, razorbills, common murres and arctic terns. Notes: 1) The tour books up early in the year! I think they were sold out when I...More

We were beyond disappointed that we had pre booked our tour a week ahead of our stay in Grand Manan through the website. I suppose our booking was not received, or they booked a large group instead of us (I don't know). I tried to...More

We did a Puffin tour to Machias Island. Due to the high swells, we were not able to land on the island, so Peter, the captain, brought groups of people on the skiff, to get a better view of the birds. It takes about 1hr....More

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We read all of them, and take any suggestions to heart. We are wondering why we missed one star? Perhaps because we couldn't land on the island. We hope you enjoyed the tour regardless, and...More

A great tour with a friendly crew. We saw a lot of whales. The crew really knew where to go to see the whales up close. Well worth the money. We also saw a basking shark which was a bonus.

Basically the main reason we went to Grand Manan Island last August was to finally see WHALES and PUFFINS (I'm not mentioning some other reasons yet and the other ones I already mentioned in my many stories previously). Of course when you are planning your...More

We had a great day out whale-watching, was very impressed they don't charge you if you don't see an actual whale (vs. harbour porpoise). The captain and crew were very nice. I tend to get sea-sick and ended up taking more gravol about 60 mins...More

I really enjoy whalewatching so this is the 5th boat tour i have taken. Of all my tours from Newfoundland, the St Lawrence, Cape Breton, the Caribbean, this was the least enjoyable. There were 44 people on the boat, many were sea sick, making it...More

We are birders from Florida and had been on 'standby' since April to get on Machias Seal island due to the limit agreement per US/Canada. We came to Grand Manan Island via the auto ferry from Blacks Harbour. Originally I was hoping to get ashore...More

Hi! The whale watching tour is between 4-5 hours long typically. It varies depending on how far we need to go to get to the whales. We like to allow lots of viewing time. The tour is whales guaranteed or your tour is... More
