We booked online and unfortunately all the high tide tours were full so we settled on a mid-tide tour. The day of, I called and they had a cancellation (!!) and we got into the high tide tour! Our guides were incredible: Issac, Shawn, Ella, and Emily. They were professional, entertaining, and very knowledgeable. We learned so much about the tides, Bay of Fundy, and history of the area all while learning how to paddle through the caves and around flower pot formations. Great value for the price, highly recommend doing this when you’re in the area!

I HIGHLY recommend this experience! Being able to be on the water to paddle around the flowerpot rocks and then, later, walk among them was an experience I will never forget. The guides were superb and this was possibly the best guided kayak trip we've been on... partly due to the wonderful weather and slow pace. We got the chance to truly abslorb the beauty and were not rushed.

We had a blast kayaking with Baymount! Everything about this operation is professional and well thought-out, and kayaking is such a perfect way to view the rock formations. The guides were fun and made the tour interesting. We chose a tour that started right at high tide, so the tide was going out as we kayaked. It was amazing to kayak through a passage that was dry just 15 minutes later - the tides here are fascinating! Loved our experience and happy to recommend it to others.

We booked ahead for high tide, and it was a great experience. It was all very professional with nice equipment and good guides (ours was Olivia). We had a pretty big group, but they divided us into french and english speakers, which made for a perfect size. They have lockers to leave your stuff and dry bag you can borrow. I bought a camera bag at the visitor center for about $10 which was very helpful. We really enjoyed kayaking between the flower pots. I stayed pretty dry right up until the end. We went back another day at low tide to walk where we had been.

A really great experience! The guides were making sure everyone had a great time, helping each time someone needed it and telling stories bout the area!
The weather was amazing and it was incredible to kayak in the middle of the rocks, at high tide knowing that a couple of hours later I would walk at the exam same spots!

Everything was amazing from the booking, the follow up email and phone call to remind us that as we were coming back after the park was closed, they wanted us to park in the parking lot closest to them.
My 11 year old daughter was placed with a guide (Isaac) and LOVED every minute, we all did. We luckily had very calm conditions. We kayaked in and out of coves and got to hear a bit of history, trivia and some jokes.
Everything was perfect. We cannot wait to come back again, some day.

We walked the ocean floor the day before and went on the high tide kayak tour early the next morning. I'm sure you could do it in either order, but make sure you do both! Your park admission (required) is good for 2 days. The water was super calm and there was a foggy mist in the air when we headed out--it was magical. Our lead guide (Isaac) was quite a character and made sure to demonstrate safety. I felt very secure going out with the experienced guides. I'm sorry I forget the name of the female guide but she was excellent as well and was kind enough to take a picture for us while in the calm waters. We went during the time of year they noted the shorebirds would likely be flying (mid-August) and we were not disappointed. The fog cleared and we had great views going through all the arches and areas we had walked through the previous day. I would highly recommend taking this tour and would do it again! Both my partner and I found this to be one of the highlights of our trip East.

It was a beautiful day and a beautiful tour around the Hopewell Rocks PP shore. An amazing way to see the flower-pot rocks. The guides were incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend it.

This tour was great overall, but I personally would not recommend it for plus size folks or the easily seasick (if it's a windy/wavy day). I've sea kayaked several times (in calmer conditions in bays/mangroves in Florida and New England) and have never gotten seasick or had an issue with fitting into gear or boats, but unfortunately this company didn't have a kayak "skirt" that fit me. The kayak also felt way smaller than any I've ever been in before, probably because the opening has to be small enough to be covered by a skirt, so I was pretty squished and uncomfortable the whole time. I wear a women's 3x, in case that helps anyone else judge whether you'll be able to do this! The guides definitely did warn us that it would be wavy that day, and there were indeed 3-4 foot waves that got me feeling pretty seasick the whole time, but seemed like most others were fine. The waves actually rolled our kayak at one point, and the guides were AWESOME with the rescue and helping us get back in the boat. This tour wasn't for me personally, but my friends had a blast and definitely would recommend it!

Hi Lydia, thank you for your review and I am very happy that you had a great experience with the guides helping you back in the kayak. Moving forward I was able to order some skirts with a plus sized top to help accommodate more people. Thank you

Awesome sea kayaking adventure around hopewell rocks at high tide! Exact route and conditions are susceptible to tide and weather, so our group had a harder paddle against high winds on the kayak out but had the opportunity to surf the kayaks on the way back. Different tours can go through the rock arches or through wind tunnels, etc. Every route seemed like a great experience. We were out during extreme high tides with 3-4 ft waves, and the company was extremely good about issuing refunds for those not comfortable with the extreme high tide conditions. Equipment provided was clean and in good condition. Each tour goes out with several guides to assist and guide as needed. We do not have kids, but felt that the advice to families regarding kids ages and tides/difficulty of the kayak was appropriate to the ages of those present. Personally, would only recommend for families with older (teenage) children during extreme high tides, but younger could do lower/less substantial tide times or lower wind conditions. Company does have a minimum age policy. Tour was a good length and pace for all experience levels including those who do not kayak regularly and had well spaced break points in coves.

I don't think they offer tours past Labour Day but check their website and you can confirm.

Hi, Janice! Tour times for kayaking change daily at Hopewell Rocks Park due to the fact that high tide times change daily.
Our staff would love to answer any questions you may have or explain the tour times - please call 1-877-601-2660! Our tour schedule is also available at baymountadventures. com

Will be arriving to see the rocks around the 7th & 8th of Oct. Is there any other Outdoor Adventure Company offering to take the public out on the water or is that not offered this late in the season?
Written September 16, 2015
My understanding is that Baymount Outdoor Adventures is the only outfitter allowed in the park ... and their web page states they only run through September (but you could contact them directly to confirm)l

Is their an age limit for kids on kayaks, and do u have single person kayaks as well as two person?
Written July 10, 2015
Thank you for your question about our "Kayak The Rocks" Adventure. Our policy is to only accept reservations for those 12 yrs. and over. The policy was implemented because the paddling conditions at Hopewell Rocks are often unpredictable and not suited for young children. The windy conditions that are normally present at the Rocks, make it necessary for both paddlers in the doubles kayaks to share in propelling and maneuvering the kayak among the rock formations. On request, families with children under 12 are placed on our waiting list. If conditions are extremely calm at tour time (and space is available) our guides may decide to add a few waiting list guests to the tour. All guests paddle tandem (two person) kayaks.
