Never heard of this place but I am glad we discovered it. A fun little trip back in time. We took a horse drawn carriage ride down to a farm where you can take a tour of an old house. Very interesting and informative. There is also a beach and farm animals to see. Lots of nice photo ops. I would definitely recommend it for families with little kids. Lots of fun.

Visited the MacDonald farm during the Miramichi Scottish Festival. Very nice location on the river and worth a look-see when you are in the area.

Our family enjoyed the horse and wagon ride very much. We got a ride down to the farm and back! The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly! We loved the tour of the house and the animals on the farm. We even got a ride back up to the gift shop after the tour! Overall an enjoyable experience and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Miramichi especially if you have children and or a love of history! I would never have known it was there if I hadn't googled things to do in Miramichi!

A lovely little museum with a house, barn and animals along with a horse and cart to take you in :) My kids and I really enjoyed our visit. The museum is not large but the people working there are knowledgeable and very friendly. The view is beautiful and the kittens were adorable! Hardest thing is not taking one home :)

Each year we look forward to a visit to MacDonald Farm in Bartibog with our grandchildren. They so enjoy all the farm animals. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make all feel welcome and at home there. Usually our visit is the weekend of the family outing and there are jumping castles, face painting, pony rides, feed the goats, barbecue, etc . Always a clean and fun place to visit and very affordable.

I suggest visiting when they have a fun day. More for the kids to do with face painting, jumping castles, pony rides, petting zoo, balloon animals, and more. We like to take a walk down to the beach as well. The wagon ride down is great fun for the kids. Tad bit bumpy for the adults.... Definitely will return.
