We shop in Carbonear at least once a month and have always wanted to visit the Rorke Stores Museum. The student summer staff were well informed and very good at answering questions. A great insite to early Carbonear days!

Really enjoyed the Rorke Stores Museum. How great to be standing in the building that was the launching point for the whole enterprise. Could have spent more time there but we had a full day planned. The museum gives a good look at the many aspects of being a fish merchant, by looking at the business side, the sailing side and life down at the rooms in Labrador. Great to see part of the space made available for community use. Complete the visit by going across the street to the old stone store, now the Stone Jug.
