Our family usually tries a horse ride on our vacations but due to COVID-19, we staycationed instead. We found this location and did a trail ride. We had an 8 and 7 year old with us. The 7 year old had never ridden before and had a blast.

This was one of the highlights of our trip this summer. Awesome friendly staff. Lots of horses. My daughter had the best time. She wants to come back. Owner and staff were very professional and friendly. This was during COVID-19 and all precautions were taken. Highly recommend!

The stable is not much to look at as you arrive, but the owners are wonderful people who were incredibly friendly. The horses were well cared for and fun to ride. We did a two day ride and Ruth and Kevin cooked us dinner and breakfast at our cabin. Both meals were excellent. The riding was through the forest near the national park on small forest roads and trails. The cabin was owned by a different commercial operator and was near a main road. Our horses stayed in a corral in a campground across the street. We were well matched to our horses and the ride was just our family with our guide. The ride was of the proper length for both the experienced riders and those less experienced.

I attended Cache Rapids Stables summer camps from the time I was 8 years old until I was 16 and too old to go back. Now, I return every summer for trail rides and to see their horse shows.

The owners, Ruth and Kevin, are lovely, friendly, accommodating people who go above and beyond to ensure the comfort and safety of their guests, staff, and horses.

At first look, the place looks very run down. The fencing, old machinery, and homestead don't give a good first impression...but then the experience begins. The people were very genuine and nice, and our kids really enjoyed their short horse ride. The young girl leading the horse was a sweetheart and was so grateful with our tip. Would recommend to anybody. The experience will get you past the first impression of the look of the place inno time.

Kevin and Ruth manage the farm and they are lovely, knowledgeable people. Ask Kevin about his experience on the reality TV show "Mantracker". We went on a 3 hour trail ride on well maintained horses along the Cache River and through beautiful pasture land. No better way to see the local countryside. They have horses for all levels of riders. Located near Deer Lake, about about 50 K from Gros Morne National Park off route 430.

We may stop there again on our way back from "Viking Country." Loved every minute of it!
