We enjoyed this more than Skerwink, to be honest. We had a glorious day and the ability to get down to sea level when you get to the halfway point makes this hike very memorable. Nothing beats wandering down to the ocean with nothing but...More

While technically not an island, as it is conveniently connected to Champney's West via an isthmus, Fox Island is yet another not-to-miss spot in this beautiful area. Once across an Isthmus, it is an almost vertical climb to the top of the island. Ropes that...More

This is a beautiful trail with great views and beaches. Community is very friendly and helpful. You can see seabirds and depending on the time of year icebergs. Lots of scenic outlooks. Also on the way back you can visit the harbour where there are...More

This hike isn't that long and isn't as popular as the Skerwink trail, but it's a little different than some as you have to use a rope to climb up it in a couple of areas. Definitely not for people with physical limitations. The views...More

A fairly easy to moderate 5.5 km. hike (more to the easy side) that has spectacular coastal views and views of the surrounding villages. We had our hiking poles and in some spots we were glad we did. Allow a couple of hours at an...More

While staying at the Fishers Loft, we did the Fox Island Trail located nearby on the other side of the cove. This trail is easy to moderate and surely easier than the Skerwink Trail but still with wonderful views over the cove, Fox Island and...More

A delightful walk - fine for most people. For the more adventurous cross the isthmus and climb up to the top and down the beautiful grassy banks of Fox Island - not for the faint hearted on the way up.

The coves and cliffs around Trinity are stunning, and each trail is very different. The Fox Island Trail isn't as famous or spectacular as the Skerwink Trail, but once you've done that, this is a terrific second-day hike. The trail head is a bit difficult...More
