An incredible experience truly and obviously crafted with love, soul and community at the heart. My fellow community members and myself thoroughly enjoyed this powerful Newfoundland adventure. Couldn’t find a think not to recommend about it, unless you’re allergic to a good time 😜

Hands down- AMAZING! Trina is so passionate about preserving the stories of her family and the indigenous culture!

It was a cold-ish day in Rocky Harbour- she picked me up in her heated ATV/ bike; I saw so much and she explained a lot about the area, and stories of the past and present.

This was a very accessible tour for my parents. An opportunity to see a unique view of Gros Morne Mountain and panoramic, photographic view. The tour guide was friendly, enthusiastic and informative. The vehicle was safe and comfortable.

Trina and her family are very generous. I participated in two activities : the Eastern Arm Look and Bakers Brook Walk and Storytelling. We discovered magnificent landscapes, tasted smoked salmon, moose meat and homemade jams. If you are in the area Under the Stump is a must. Do not miss! Aude from Montreal

What an AMAZING experience! We loved e our tour and of course the tour guide Tricia whose friendliness and knowledge of the land is something really special and not to be missed. I would recommend the tour to anyone and everyone who visits the Gros Morne region.

Exploring the back country with a guide like Tricia is something I'll never forget and I look forward to the next time we visit to take advantage of the other tours Under the Stump offers. The atv allowed us to see things we never would have seen. We were so happy to forage and find blueberries, raspberries and Partridgeberries (sooo delicious). We also learned about the different uses and Indigenous medicine that come from the nature we were surrounded with. It was a complete slice of heaven we experienced and even our pictures do the surroundings little justice compared to the real thing.

To top things off Scott, Tricia's son showed us his beautifully scented soaps and candles that we couldn't help but pick up. Meeting him was lovely and we will forever appreciate our time with Tricia and the Under the stump family. Thank you so much for an incredible tour!

It was our pleasure to share the remote country, storytelling and forging. You were here at a great time to have the opportunity of picking all those types of berries. Scott really appreciated the time you spent learning about the soaps and candles All of your wonderful comments are greatly appreciated and very thoughtful. To hear that you retained information about our experiences like the medicines, and thought it was a slice of heaven makes us proud of what we do. You are a part of the Under the Stump family and we look forward to meeting you again

Thank you for your review. I love to hear visitors thoughts on the vehicles. Some people call them jeeps, others call them buggies and I call them bikes😁 The side by sides are amazing vehicles to venture into the remote wilderness. It was a great experience for us as well!

Our excursion into the country was everything that Under The Stump advertised and so much more.Members of our group, have back and neck issues,so we had concerns regarding accessibility, and comfort. When we booked, Trina assured us the side by side vehicle would be safe and comfortable, and she delivered on that promise.
Fully enclosed, with AC,heat, comfortable seats, well fitted quality helmets, seat belts for all passengers, the roomy vehicle allows for easy entry and exit, with 360°views.Trina's extensive knowledge of the terrain, wildlife, vegetation, berries trees, and historical land formation information,is an education in itself. The little kitchen party at her cabin was a blast...and her talents extend to making the lovely homemade treats and jams, storytelling,as well as playing, singing ,and instructing us to play the ugly stick!!
What a grand way to spend an afternoon. We arrived as strangers, and left as friends.

This was an unexpected highlight of the trip! Trina was so friendly and informative and shared her experiences and culture generously. The ATV was comfortable and super different from what we had done up to that point. Trina made a lunch in the barrens that was so delicious and she easily accommodated our food issues (gluten free and vegetarian) with no issues. We got a taste of the ugly stick and it was so fun. Highly recommend this tour for all ages and abilities.

As an avid outdoorsperson and adventurer with a mobility challenge, I was delighted to discover Trina's business - unique in so many ways, including the opportunity to get in the backcountry, to learn about the old ways and indigenous culture, and to support a sustainable tourism operator with a focus on creating opportunities for people with disabilities.

The lunch and views were fantastic - but the stories Trina told were pure gold, as is her heart!

We enjoyed our tour with Trina so much! She gave us a real, local perspective on the area and took us to an incredible viewpoint of Gros Morne park!
We also had a wonderful lunch together, packed full of delicious local berries and fish.
Thank you so much for the wonderful day!
