Gros Morne was the highlight of our Newfoundland trip. Absolutely stunning park with amazing geology, landscapes and flora. We did the lookout trail which was amazing, gave a beautiful panoramic view of the park. The tablelands was very interesting with its unique geology. The western brook pond trail and boat ride/day hike is a must. The view of the fjord... More

We spent three days in the park and could have easily spent three more. We especially enjoyed the Western Brook Pond tour, the Lookout Trail and the waterfront by Norris Point (technically not part of the park). It's a bit of a drive to get out there, but the scenery is worth it! The hikes we did were great. Most... More

Started at the Tablelands and was glad we did. Explored the south side of the park before driving into accomodations in Rocky Harbour. GReen Gardens hike was lovely. FAvorite was West Brook Pond boat tour. An easy 3km walk from parking lot to the boat. 150,000moose and we didn't see 1.

Don't underestimate the size and variety within this national park. Visit a ship wreck, climb a mountain, take a boat tour through towering fiords. Also, don't miss out on a quick stop to green point. This site isn't well promoted but it's a quick visit and absolutely fascinating, see millions of years of history right at your finger tips. Any... More

Gros Morne has lots of great views as you drive around, though the best for me was walking in the tablelands.

Great access to many different types of hikes, but you need a car to travel as well. We take hikes at two different speeds, but there is plenty to enjoy on a shorter return version of each hike. Very unique flora, geology and geography. Watch out for foggy conditions.

First time for me to visit the park and I was not disappointed! Its relaxed, we walked around enjoying the natural beauty. Informative, the signage and staff at the centre were helpful and answered any and all of our questions. A definite must see.

This is ideal for walking, sightseeing or boat trips. We did all three while we were there. It extends from Rocky Harbour in the north to Trout River in the west. It is a long drive from one side to the other unless you cross the bay as a foot passenger. It is an ideal place to spend several days.
