Very similar to a lot of the lighthouses in Newfoundland with a little museum in the building. We couldn't go to the top because it was closed. From the outside there are great views of Bonne Bay.

The lighthouse and surrounding grounds are beautiful and so well kept. The information inside the lighthouse is interesting and gives a completely different look at what things were like not that many years ago. We even had a demonstration of the Ugly Stick. When I...More

Great views from this area. Went up to the lighthouse at dusk and took several pictures as the sun set over Rocky Harbour.

We were wondering and a man talked to us and took us into the light house and told us the story of the family that had lived there. It was very interesting.

Well worth a stop to walk and look around (and if you are as lucky as we were, Bonnie will be doing her storytelling when you are there. She was one of the highlights of our trip. Thank you, Bonnie...!

The best exhibit we have seen in 10 days in Newfoundland. Clear, informative storyboards with original photos on the settlement of the West coast, the fishing activities, the everyday life of a lighthouse keeper and his family, and even 1950's recordings of traditional songs :...More
