Outstanding! These guys are not only accomplished musicians, they are hilarious. The show was incredible and we enjoyed every minute. I highly recommend taking it in whenever visiting the area; this was a definite cultural highlight of our 3 week trip to Newfoundland. Make sure you arrive early to get a seat closer to the stage as it fills up quickly. Seating is limited and the show is usually sold out, so be prepared to share your table if there are less than 4 In your group. The night we were there 2/3 of the seats were also reserved for a bus tour, so even when we arrived more than 2 hours ahead of showtime there were only a few seats available. The band is so good at drawing the crowd in, and even the wait staff joins in on the fun, performing a river-dance and inciting the crowd! So much fun! Love, love, loved it!

As foretold by friends who attended in past, Anchors Aweigh is great fun...a must see if you are in Rocky Harbour. We were told by our B&B host that you could reserve seats in advance. When we goth to the venue, we were told we could only do that if we also ate dinner there beforehand, so we did that. Enjoyed the meal as well but it does make for a long evening of sitting.

Wonderful show, very funny and talented performers! Highly recommend. Also recommend going early! We arrived at 6:30 (show started at 8) and unfortunately a bus tour beat us there, so we were stuck at one of the tables at the back. Still a great show, we could hear everything well, and see almost everything!

I heard you have to do this when you go to Newfoundland. The people in the tourist office outside the ferry even mentioned it. But I didn’t really enjoy it, and my friend and I left at the break.

The songs catered to an older crowd (with references to 70s music) and did not seem authentic. Instead of acoustic music, there were loud drums and guitars. There was a good bit of crude humour. And it was all very loud.

I went on a Bon Tour boat trip and had better entertainment from the same people – family friendly jokes and more acoustic folk music with fiddles, etc. That’s a better alternative in my mind.

The concert was long and the room was crowded and hot.

The band was good and the food was fine but unfortunately they have created a niche market for themselves of very staid seniors. It was extremely dull. We expected it to be tourist oriented but that doesn't have to mean it can't be fun, it wasn't. The people around us seemed to think they were at a Yo-Yo Ma concert at Carnegie hall - even shushing people who were talking. We left when the band took a break. Because it was frankly uncomfortable.

This is a must see when you are in Rocky Harbour. My husband and I just the show on Friday night. We had such a good time. We were the only two people wearing masks which was a must as they cram you in and you sit with other people. They were short staffed that night and one of the waitresses was off with covid. I just read on another review that some of the patrons now have covid. Back to the show. It is witty and fun. We did meet one of the group members (Reg) on one of the boat tours after and I truly wish I hadn't. His persona in the show is hysterical and seems like the funniest guy around. He had zero personality when I saw him outside. But go see the show. It was truly a fun night!

Anchors Aweigh is a must see if you are in Rocky Harbour. A toe tapping, hands clapping high energy show. The 5 musicians are all very talented and their pride in New Foundland is wonderful. This is a very entertaining evening. We had reservations for supper which was very good too.

Great evening of entertainment! We laughed, we clapped along, we sang and we thoroughly enjoyed. Well worth the money.
Only issue was there were 2 bus tours who were given all the up front seating. What was left for the rest of us was the tall tables & chairs, which we find uncomfortable. But at least there was enough room to be able to stand some of the time.

A rambunctious evening filled with kindness and mischief.
The band makes everyone feel special no matter where you are from.
They are entertainers and above all talented musicians.
A few songs made me teary and at other moments I was gleefully laughing.
Thank you for such a memorable evening.

You cannot go through this area without seeing this show. Traditional NF music, high tempo and lots of fun. Musicianship is top-notch, very professional tight band. You MUST book in advance, it is often sold out. Another tip is that once you are booked, you can call and reserve a table - if you don't, you need to get there at 6 and have dinner. Dinner is quite decent, good quality pub food.
