Filled with renditions of popular Newfoundland and Labrador songs and tunes, sprinkled with one-liners and wit and occasional display of culture, this group of five has become one of the most widely-attended acts in the whole province. Almost by accident, and practically overnight, the ANCHORS AWEIGH band has found its way onto the list of "things-to-do" for local residents and visitors alike.

This show featured 5 very talented musicians/entertainers. The focus is mainly Newfoundland music and humour but the band makes sure to include songs from the home province/state of all the audience members. We were thoroughly entertained the whole night and howled with laughter at many times. Be sure to arrive early to get a good seat. Book in advance because... More

When we booked our 4 day stay in Rocky Harbour, the people that we rented a cottage from told us to be sure and include the show in our itinerary. We will be ever grateful that they did. It is a small venue, so very intimate. The musicians are extremely personable as well as very talented and entertaining. They had... More

Did not stay at this hotel but spent a couple of evenings in the pub. Laid back service, pub food good with ample portions. Our group ate the nachos which came with lots of topping and the fish and chips which was good pub food. The Anchors Aweigh group thoroughly entertained us on the first night. Do not miss this... This was our last night in Newfoundland and this show was the perfect topper - great humor, music, cabaret. Meant we had ti get up at 2:45 to make our 5:30 flight, but worth it!

These guys are really fun. The music was good old irish Newfoundland style and the humor was... a bit salty, but still family friendly. The accordion player is also the Skipper of the Bonne Bay Tour boat. What a hoot. He was fun to watch.

The show will leave you planning a return visit. Very accomplished and polished musicians and entertainers. 3 hour show with one 10 minute break. Well worth 5 stars BUT if you want a drink during the 2nd set you better order it during the break. I have never seen the table staff in a pub simply disappear when the 2nd... More

This is a Tourist must See Show, great price on the tickets for the level of entertainment you get. What a Riot, they accommodate all the guests by playing a song from your home place. My favourite was Led Zeppelin! The lead singer and Accordion Player are the Captain and Tour Narrator on the excellent Whale Watching Tour on Bonne... More
