The tour of the Hiscock house was the highlight of our visit to Trinity. The interpreter, Bonnie, was hilarious and painted a vivid picture of life in Trinity. I was amazed by the ingenuity and resourcefulness of the owner--a woman ahead of her time. Worth a visit for sure.

We were very lucky that Pam was working as a guide when we visited this historic site. She greeted us in a warm, friendly manner and proved to be a font of information. We have been so impressed with the people that we have met on our trip, and Pam is certainly one of the best. Well done Trinity!

We bought an admission package at the Trinity Museum that included admission to this house. Emma Hiscock became a widow and supported her family as a shop keeper, post mistress and landlady. The house has a shop next to it. There are two floors of very cool rooms to tour and you can even try on period hats upstairs in one of the bedrooms. There is also someone here to answer your questions. Very interesting.

Arriving and walking around there let you feel how life went in the past. There are different houses, completely rebuilt, where you can enter and feel the past. The old equipment seems to be from a strange world. The people working there, explain everything and make the day unique.

Trinity is a very quaint and picturesque town and getting a close-up of one of the long-time town resident’s home provides an intimate view of what life was like. You can go through the home in about 1/2 hour and our tour guide was very knowledgeable about Emma Hiscock and her family

Hiscock House is a beautifully preserved property located in the heart of Trinity. Lots of antique furniture contained inside (some original to the house, others contemporary) + great guides to help explain the background/context of the house and its rooms. Note that admission to Hiscock House is included with the provincial pass, which allows access to multiple cool sites around Newfoundland (e.g. Cupids Plantation, Newman Vaults in St. John's etc.)

We loved our tour of this beautiful home, mostly because our docent, Frances, did such a terrific job. She made the former residents come alive, was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the house and its former occupants and did a wonderful job of sharing the details.

Such a wonderful place to tour!!! The guide was super knowledgeable, welcomed us immediately and took us on a guided tour of the house!! Astounding how astute this woman was in that day and age with 6 children - as a widow in a man's world

What a great story is to be told about this house. We loved the tales told about each room and about the family who lived here. Make sure to take time to talk with the guide and hear everything.
