The first events were musical and will give the energy for attendees through Sunday. A young and talented group, Hillside from Halifax wowed everyone. Jim Cuddy was second and gave everyone a treat. Too bad this gem of a facility can't be open more often.

The third week of August has been the occasion for the Writers Festival for 13 years. This was our tenth. A magical experience in a lovely old building. Impossible to explain - just attend for yourself.

Had the good fortune to see Bruce Cockburn here during the start of the Woody Point Writer's Festival Aug.11. A wonderful, intimate show in a beautifully restored heritage building. Great acoustics and appreciative crowd.

Thank Maria I
