Greenwood United Church was the first church in Cape Breton founded in 1841. It was a small church but with several stained glass windows. We visited this church at time of heavy rain pour but the people here were very friendly.

This church was founded in 1841. It has several stained glass windows. It is a church with a centre isle and a two side isles. It’s the first church in Cape Breton to become an Affirming church - open to all. All visitors are invited to tea and conversation after Sunday 11 am services. Congregation members make efforts to make visitors feel welcome. The church was attended by members of the Alexander Graham Bell family and one of the stain glass windows was donated by family members

This church has two doors. It is all painted in white and it has two towers. One is smaller compared to the other. The people here are very friendly. I like that.

I was quite amazed when I found out that it was built in 1841. It is a historical church. Wow!

I liked the many stained-glass windows and the flowers outside. Beautiful!
