In good shape but kinda boring.
Oct. 2020
We golfed as part of a "Stay and Play" and the course was quite wet for our round. The course was in great shape but didn't offer much in the way of interest. Other than a couple of holes it was quite straight forward, blast the driver off the tee hit a long iron and putt.

What was really annoying was there was considerable traffic noise for much of the course. The main highway runs adjacent to the length of the course and it was a constant departure from the normal peace of a golf course.

The clubhouse is very minimalist and there is no restaurant.

There were a few decent views but I wouldn't consider this to be a great experience and we've crossed it off our list of courses to return to.

A high quality golf course at a budget price
Sep. 2019
This was built as a high-quality course. Unfortunately the clubhouse burned down and was replaced by a trailer. So go for the gold but relocate for any 19th hole activities. Staff was friendly. On a weekday in early September the course was not busy which was nice for us. The staff is friendly. The driving range is all grass and very nice.

Great course

Really enjoyed our day there, excellent fairways and greens. A few holes in the middle get a little repetitive, then the variety returns.

Well worth playing.

Beautiful scenery, a bit pricey

Great course and depending on where you are from it was a terrific opportunity to golf late in the season in Canada. Fantastic scenery, really enjoyable course.

Great course with great staff
Aug. 2018 • Couples
We arrived at the course very early but the staff were welcoming and even got us in early. We played in four hours with no delays. The fairways were wide and forgiving The par 4’s were long for women so a good chipping game is a must! We got a very good deal on under par.

So nice played 36 in one day

Beautiful course, in great shape with forgiving fairways and great views. Would have liked to walk the course but we were flirting with rain so took a cart. But because we took a cart we finished the first round quickly so we took a quick stop for a bite to eat from the snack hut and played another 18. The staff were friendly and helpful and I would like to come back and play this course again and would recommend it to family and friends.

Delightful course
Jul. 2018 • Solo
I played Bell Bay as part of a package from the Inverary Inn. My only disappointment was the additional $20 charge for a power cart. As a visitor, I am never sure how walkable a golf course might be. By mid-July, the course had dried out so I had no problems with the wet conditions that were described by some. The fairways and the greens were in excellent shape. Lots of challenging holes, but not brutal or unfair. Most fairways were generous in width, allowing for use of one's driver without fear of major repercussions. I was delighted that I was paired up with two members for the first 9 holes, as they provided valuable perspectives on the golf course, its history, and the best way to manage the various holes.

Very overpriced
Jun. 2018 • Friends
We played this course on June 20th and were very disappointed. It was a lovely sunny day but the course was soggy everywhere due to some recent storms. Staff in the pro shop were not very welcoming, the website is very misleading, we only saw Bras d’or Lake from one or two holes, the dining room is not really under renovation, it is non-existent! For $119 + tax + cart per person, this is way overpriced. Go up to Highland Links and have a wonderful day!
