We had such a wonderful time sailing with Paul and Tracy. They made the day so interesting with fun stories and engaging conversations. A major highlight was getting to help put up and take down the sails. Tracy helped us spot seals, bald eagles, and an abundance of lobster traps. We highly recommend booking with them. We're looking forward to our next sailing adventure with Sailing CBI!

Sailing CBI provided my husband and I with one of the highlights of our trip to maritime Canada. Beautiful boat with all the amenities you could possibly want. Paul is a great skipper and we felt entirely safe in his care. This is a first rate experience which I would have no hesitation in recommending and one which we both thoroughly enjoyed.

Booked an overnight charter on this beautiful boat. Couldn't have booked a better time with the Perseid meteor shower happening. We were moored in a secluded cove with no ambient light whatsoever. We were able to lie on the deck and see a full view of the sky, the milky way and the many shooting stars that happened that night. Will definitely be booking again for next year.

Want a sailing adventure? Want luxury? Want unparalleled breathtaking scenery? It's all here at Cape Breton Island Sailing.

My husband and I spent 2 days and 1 night aboard the Cape Bretoner 1, a new 42 foot state of the art catamaran with 2 other couples. We will never forget the young, experienced and charming Captain Jamie and his first mate, who entertained hosted and explained. We sailed the renowned and pristine Bras d'or Lake during the days and dropped anchor in Baddeck for the night.

Our favourite part was finding a protected little cove with white limestone shore formations where we dropped anchor and swam in the warm calm water. Idyllic. A bald eagle was resting in a tree on shore and let us get to within 50 feet of him before flying off over our heads as we swam. We could hear and feel the swish of his wings! Magical.

It costs more than the Holiday Inn ... Hehe! ... but the experience is priceless.

The Bras d’Or Lakes are absolutely stunning and not to be missed when visiting Cape Breton Island! My family and I have explored and driven around the lakes many times in the past, but had a completely amazing and unique adventure sailing across the lakes with Paul and his crew! We toured the lakes, picnicked on the boat, stopped for a swim in a little cove, and learned about the unique geography and landscape of the Bras d’Or Lakes. Thank you!... We had an incredible time!!

Thank you so much to Paul and his crew for a beautiful and relaxing day on the Bras d'Or. It really is a hidden paradise for sailing and a great place to be in September! The catamaran is spacious and well appointed, the ride was quiet and weather excellent for sailing... as Baddeck is known for. It was good to spend time with fun company and the crew who offered warm Cape Breton hospitality, including local music, stop for a swim and a delicious lunch. I highly recommend this tour company and that you give sailing the Bras d'Or Lakes of Cape Breton a try, it exceeded my expectations! The end of our day we all felt refreshed and I would go again tomorrow if I could!

My sisters and I ( six of us) had a wonderful adventure aboard the Cape Bretoner 1 catamaran on the inland sea, the B'ras D'Or, on a three-day cruise.

The catamaran is gracious, spacious, and glides smoothly through the water, even for a non-sailor like me. There was plenty of space for all of us to leisure in the sun and breeze: on the trampoline netting, up front, or sitting on the front deck, or under the shade of the back deck with comfortable padded seating and a large table. The kitchen had all the amenities including a stove top, three large fridge drawers, one large freezer drawer, and a good-sized counter on which to work or serve food. A kitchen table with bench seating was also convenient for extra space and comfort.

Having three double beds and two full bathrooms afforded a next luxury for six women on a three-day cruise.

Our crew, Paul and Jamie, were very accommodating to what we wanted to do and where we wanted to explore. They provided lots of helpful and interesting information along the way.

We experienced sailing on the sparkling expanse of the beautiful, salt water of the B'ras D'Or, the catamaran smoothly cutting through the waves, and playfully splashing the sun-soaked deck.

We breakfasted, dined, swam and relaxed in calm, sun-drenched coves. Comforted by the shelter of our dry and cozy kitchen and deck, we leisurely pieced together our jigsaw puzzle to the rumbling of thunder and pattering oF rain.

Crusing aboard the Cape Bretoner 1... Awesome!!

My husband and I and two other couples had a very relaxing sail on Paul's catamaran this September .Having time on single hull sailboats only made this sailing experience all the more enjoyable for me , the hesitant sailor ! The Bras dor lakes are so expansive you seem to have it to yourself .
Scenery is superb.....which you can see from any angle in the cabin while preparing meals or cleaning up .Storage and refridgeration are more than adequate .
Three cabins and two bathrooms with showers made for comfortable sleeping .Even twin wall lamps at head of bed made for great reading before falling asleep in a secluded cove where you finished the day star gazing .
The boat met all expectations and made for a memorable weekend !

We drove to Baddeck, Cape Breton and were warmly greeted by Paul. We do know a little about the Bras d'Or so we appreciated his tremendous knowledge of the area and waters. The 42 foot Catamaran was fantastic to see and Paul went over the safety elements of the boat. It had all sorts of room and was lovely. The scenery was great, the crew was helpful, friendly and courteous. We went on a 7 hour sail and even went for a swim in the quietest of coves. To top things off, we were fed a 4-course meal prepared by a red seal chef. It was delicious! The wild blueberry pie was decadent! I definitely recommend you consider this excursion when you visit Cape Breton, you will not regret it for one minute!
