Rug hooking is a old traditional art in the area and the shop sells small hooked coasters all the way up to rugs. Not cheap but considering the work that goes into these pieces...well worth it. A gift shop with something for everyone...not just hooked...More

A neat little Gift Shop and Ice Cream Parlor at the south end of Cheticamp. The Ice Cream is very good and enjoyed the gift shop as well. Found a couple great bargains.

Along with the usual souvenirs of Cape Breton, I was pleased to see handicrafts typical of the region, especially the hooked rugs. There was a lady demonstrating how the rugs are made. Very nice.

The staff is great ready to help you out. There was a hooker hooking a rug while we where visiting, she was explaned the work she was doing, very interesting.
