So yes, the signs about coyote and bears freaked me out. They are everywhere here, but for me, that's part of the experience with hiking. It's also the reason I bring my husband with me. He's fearless or at least makes me think he is!...More

We hiked this trail early in the morning. It was 2.4 miles in length beginning in the woods and ending with beautiful views of the ocean. We were early enough to see the lobster boats loading their catch. We enjoyed it from start to finish.

An easy walk out to the end of the trail where we sat and enjoyed our lunch while looking out at the sea and birds.

This was an easy but beautiful walk with breathtaking views. I’m sure it is even more beautiful on a sunny day!

This was a nice afternoon trail. A bit longer than we thought. There are some nice views half way and at the end. Most of the trail was in the woods. We would have liked more views towards the water along the way

My husband and I heard about Middle Head Trail from the owner of the Woodsmiths Studio (visit there, too!) and would not have known about it otherwise, so it was a last minute addition to our trip around Cabot Trail. I noticed that several people...More

Middle Head Trail is a two kilometer trail with a loop at the start of the trail and a short linear trail out to the head. While the trail does have a lot of ups and downs, the view is quite amazing from the top...More

Had to check it out after breakfast, before leaving Lodge and glad we did. Some stretches a little challenging but worth it once we got to the end of the peninsula--great views!
