The Creamery and Butcher Shops are a Must!!
Sep. 2021
I always stop at the Creamery and the Butcher.... holy wow.

The Creamery has the largest assortment of cheeses so I'm always bringing a lot home to entertain and enjoy. They also have specialty crackers and funky items such as unique antipasto, jams, and chutneys!!

The Butchers has some great meats and sausages... always something new to try. They carry specialty spices for dips, specialty barbq sauces and a variety of unique pastas as well as gift ideas for the kitchen.

I always find something unique to try !

Worth a visit if I’m the area.

They have ample parking and are fun to roam around. They have some unique items and I didn’t find them too expensive, they are more than Sobey’s but they have things you won’t find at Sobey’s either.

Tourist trap?
Aug. 2021 • Couples
It's a tourist trap! Prices are highly inflated especially the gift shop garden center. Baked goods and some veggies are fresh but some veggies are again overpriced especially since it is local. Best corm I've eaten all ummer though.

Make sure to visit the cheese shop and butcher across the street!! We ate at the fish and chip place and it was the best fish I've tasted in a long time.

Stopped by just for bakery items on a 300 km trip
Mar. 2021
Well wanted sugar cinnamon donuts, none on shelf...the bakery employee (female) was there stocking the shelves with bread...asked her what time more donuts would be coming out
Her reply:”we don’t give out times, they have to be cool enough to package” “there’s another cart coming out but we need to unload this one first” well 5 mins later the second cart comes out with all kinds of packages of cinnamon sugar donuts...what the heck? You mean the employee didn’t know what was on that cart?
Then there was no way I could take one off the cart as she was grabbing them right in front of me to put on the shelf so I had no choice but to go get one off the shelf when the cart was right in front of me! She was very rude and obviously has no experience in good customer service.
Good customer service is what gives you good business in my experience.

Worth the stop

The Market offers a great selection of baked goods. The coffee selection was very good. Lots of great choices on the lunch menu. The turkey sandwich was one of the best I’ve ever had. I was able to pick up a few unique gifts at the gift shop.

Fish & Chip boat!
Sep. 2020 • Family
Used to be amazing, the best Fish & Chips. Last evening we waited an hour and 20 minutes while overhearing the completely rude staff give excuses to patiently waiting customers. We waited until finally our food coaster rang, what we waited for was Mediocre at best. Our fries weren't even remotely warm. You'd think after making customers wait over an hour the food would at the very least be hot. I'm sure if you asked any of the many extremely patient customers that were there last evening, none of them left happy! Extremely disappointing to say the least...

Always a Stop

We love Masstown, from the ice cream, to the donuts, creamery and butcher, we are never disappointed.
We love the butter and cream and the wide selection of cheeses. Not to mention how gorgeous the butcher shop is.
They have a huge selection and their sausages and bacon are delicious, they also have great cuts of local beef, which the staff will discuss with you in great length. They have all been very friendly and knowledgeable.
I always stop here when I’m heading to the cottage and will continue to do loyally!

Disappointed
Aug. 2020 • Family
Visiting Masstown Market used to be treat. It was worth the drive. The Market I visited yesterday was thoroughly disappointing. Prices on produce were very high, quality was mediocre. Selection was extremely limited. And no, business was not down because of COVID-19. The place was packed.

Went to get ice cream and was told that we all had to “walk around the outside of the building and come in the back door” if we wanted ice cream. So, stand in the hot sun with no shade in a 25 minute line-up with my elderly mother & granddaughter. No thanks.

For as many years it was a treat to stop there, I will not be stopping again.

Cute!

Pretty cool little stop! We didn’t eat there but shopped. Lots of variety when it comes to fresh produce and groceries! Sadly there wasn’t any social distancing, which isn’t the fault of the store. So maybe this isn’t there best place to visit during Covid if that’s something that would bother you.
