Good, could be better
Oct. 2020
The exhibits are well presented. Interestingly curious younger ones will be happy here. But the best part about this place is, it could even be better presented.

Canada's oldest dinosaurs
Jul. 2019
I admit it. I love dinosaurs and always have. I've dragged my poor husband to numerous sites in the US as well as the wonderful Tyrrell museum. So of course we had to visit this museum. We saw the molded sculptures of Canada's earliest dinosaurs, fossils, and the trackway of the world's smallest dinosaur. There are many displays and exhibits even of the gems and minerals of the area. My husband liked the time machine that showed how the look of the earth has changed with continental drift. Don't make the same mistake we made--we did not plan to visit at low tide so couldn't go for the beach walk to see what the tide exposed in the cliffs. Next time. We did see the cliffs at Joggins though. There is also a gift shop and clean restrooms. Enjoy.

Nice little museum
Oct. 2019 • Family
Has tons of info about the geological history of Nova Scotia and has a lot of interactive learning. The kids liked the sandbox where they could use brushes to brush sand off the bones like archaeologists. As someone who loves learning about geology and dinosaurs I will definitely be back.

Amazing Look At How The North American Continent Was Formed. Must See!!!
Aug. 2019
We stopped here to see what we could learn about the huge tides and we learned so much more. They have an exhibit that shows how the North American continent was formed millions of years ago. It is absolutely outstanding. Don't miss it.

Enjoyable!
Sep. 2019 • Family
This museum is small but really well done. Their collection of fossils is amazing & we enjoyed seeing all the different minerals that can be found around the Bay of Fundy. We learned a lot about the dinosaur fossils & the periods when these creatures lived. The gift shop was great too!
Definitely worth a visit when in Parrsboro.

Very informative, excellent local samples!
Aug. 2019
This small but mighty museum was a superb link between geological history and local finds. So many examples from nearby or across the province, and wonderful to see an on-site lab with scientists at work. A great rainy-day place to find yourself, and a wonderful way to kindle a passion for geology! Well done!!

Small, but wonderful set of exhibits
Aug. 2019
Both adults and children will enjoy this small museum (allow about an hour to go through it) which focuses on local rocks and fossils, including dinosaurs. There are lots of rocks that you are allowed to touch, which was a nice change from other museums. Plus the displays are designed to be very engaging, with video and imagery of all kinds. I really appreciated learning about the local geological history; it made a good background when we went on to the fossil center at Joggins.
