As a fellow small business owner in Parrsboro, I cannot say enough about the exceptional service Tide Rollers & Mudlarkers provides to our guests and visitors to the area.
Anna caters her hikes to the participants wants and experience levels and safety is always foremost on her mind amidst the challenges of exploring along The Minas Basin/The Bay of Fundy NS and the highest and most powerful tides in the world.
I encourage every guest to explore with a guide and those that have gone out with Anna come back having had the most breathtaking experiences and have seen the most stunning views one can find along The Parrsboro Shore and within The UNESCO Cliffs of Fundy Geopark.
Anne’s tours do not disappoint and she gives her all to each adventure making every guest feel so privileged to have experienced what most never will!
Anna “knows her stuff” and is constantly learning more…she knows the secret places and the hidden access points that cannot be found by simply exploring on your own.
I highly recommend booking a tour with Tiderollers & Mudlarkers you will not be disappointed!

I have had the pleasure of hiking with Anna of Tide Rollers and Mudlarkers on several occasions over the past few months. Anna is very safety conscious while ensuring that everyone enjoys the ultimate hiking/touring experience. She communicates well, prepares everything for the outing, and even includes a delicious snack. Her love of the Fundy Shore area is clearly evident and she conveys a wealth of knowledge about it during her tours. Anna delights in experiencing the joy her tours create in the hearts and minds of her participants, as if for the first time herself. She simply loves what she does and is terrific at it.
I highly recommend Tide Rollers and Mudlarkers for your next Fundy Shore adventure! The hikes I took, guided by Anna, rejuvenated my soul.

We met Anna at a delicious Backyard Lobster Boil she hosted at the Pleasant St Inn. We weren't aware her niche is low tide and hiking tours in and around Parrsboro. After a brief conversation we agreed on a time, she then went out of her way to shuffle around her schedule so we could go at the morning low tide.
We hiked with our dog from the campground out to see the Two Islands and Clark's Head Arch. Anna is extremely knowledgeable of the geography/geology of the area and most importantly the seasonality of the tides. She takes the safety of her guests very seriously, she checked to make sure our dog would be OK and she strongly recommended I not wear Flip-Flops. I heeded her advice and wore sensible footwear, glad I did, the barnacled rocks and uneven terrain was a challenge to walk on.
If you're looking for a great guide (and person) look no further than Anna.

I reached out to Anna when our family started planning a trip to the Bay of Fundy. From first contact, she was nothing but phenomenal, addressing any questions and helping us customize an itinerary that would be manageable for one of our group with mobility and energy limitations. With her excellent input and guidance, we were able to have a fabulous day with many amazing sights that we would not have seen otherwise along the way; the day was one of the highlights of our trip. Anna allowed us all the time we wanted at every location, provided thoughtful snacks and did extras like stopping to pick fresh blueberries and cranberries and provided a camping chair for our daughter to use when needed. She thoughtfully took photos of us along the way, which have become part of our treasured memories. I can’t say enough about our wonderful day with Anna. 5+++ stars.

Anna Hergert is a fit, experienced and extremely knowledgeable guide, of the beaches and many features both in and surrounding Parrsboro. She takes the fitness and safety of the participants into account as well as the tides (Bay of Fundy -fastest tides). I would highly recommend any of her tours for an enjoyable experience that you will remember for years to come.

Anna contacted us prior to the date of our walk asking us what we wanted to see and finding the best tour for us. She picked us up in Parrsboro and we were off for the tour. We were fortunate that the tide was out at a reasonable time in the morning which let us take pictures in the warm morning lights. The red rocks looked stunning in the light. Anna is very flexible in what you are interested in but is always keeping track of safety as you walk along the cliffs. Our walk was over 3 miles out and back for a bit over 6 miles total. (You basically set your pace) Anna has a great depth of knowledge about the area and it’s geology. I would highly recommend doing the tour.

This is our second visit to Parrsboro. During the first visit, many years ago, we explored on our own (and met up with by chance with the famous Eldon George). This time, we opted for a guided tour of the ocean floor/cliffs with Tide Rollers and Mucklarkers. What an absolute treat. Anna took the time to craft a tour that hit all our interests (geology, zeolites, fossils, tides, wildlife...) and expertly led us on a tour of Clarke Head. It was exactly what we hoped for and it was a simply wonderful day of exploring. She was very careful for our safety, even supplying poles to help make sure we were steady, watched the tides to make sure we were safely off the ocean floor in time, and coordinated the 7 km hike that was doable for our abilities. She even took a bunch of pictures of us! It was simply perfect.

An afternoon walking on the beach at Soley cove: the sun appears and Anna, our fantastic guide, reveals her magic! Geologic facts meet natural pure beauty, local knowledge, wisdom and kindness for a memorable journey. The environment is unique, thanks to Anna who attracts the gaze of participants to real treasures that we wouldn't have seen otherwise. Very pet friendly. Strongly recommanded!

Anna is an amazing tour guide! She is very knowledgeable about the Bay of Fundy & Parrsboro areas and all it has to offer. She passionately shares information about the history and geology of this beautiful area. Anna timed our visit to Cape D'Or so that the light was just perfect for taking photos before sunset.

We had a great time with Anna on the Soley Cove hike. The area is beautiful with red cliffs, flower pots and caves. Anna is very knowledgeable about the area and passionate about sharing her knowledge with others. She let us set the pace so we could stop and take lots of pictures, but still made sure we were off the ocean floor in plenty of time before the tide came in. She also took lots of great pictures of us and sent them to us. She picked us up at our inn in the morning and after the hike drove us around the Five Islands area and showed us several other scenic and interesting places. She ended up spending the whole day with us. We very much enjoyed our time with her. You can't go wrong with Anna!
