We were a group of friends and relatives from Pennsylvania.
This was our second visit to Angelo's. Our meal and conversations were outstanding.
Angelo is like a renaissance man of the 21st century. He can do it all. We had a awesome time and want him to come to Pittsburgh. Loved it!

We were looking to share a new experience with our friends, two couples, from Toronto. I was worried because two in our group are Italian and what can you teach an Italian Nona about cooking. Angelo did not disappoint! I had been to a couple of classes but this Neapolitan tasting course exceeded my expectations. We had a lively afternoon and no detail was left to chance. Our friends enjoyed an amazing meal and managed to learn a few things in the process. The conversation flowed and the food just kept coming. What a terrific couple Angelo and Karen make, moving things along and making us all feel right at home. The only hard part was staying awake during the drive home

We were a group of 10 people for the Venetian dinner, it was an amazing experience. Angelo took the time to explain things and involve all 10 of us in the preparing and cooking process. He is extremely proud of his Italian heritage and is very passionate about cooking. The meal was a 5 course meal, it was a phenomenal. He paired every course with a different Italian wine. Throughout the dinner he also played a song using his guitar and had 2 of us use instruments with him. This is a great little gem in Picton and is something which is worth discovering. We are already looking to rebook for a Tuscon dinner.

If you want to do something a bit out of the ordinary, book the tasting menu at Angelo Bean with some good friends. It's fabulous and fun. And you get to make some pasta! It's a really fun time with lots of lively conversation. And each course is served with a wine suited to that course. The food is all locally sourced, is of the highest quality and is authentic Italian! And don't forget to ask Angelo to bring out his guitar and he will serenade you with some songs from Italy. It's an experience you will not forget.

Our whole family spent a fabulous afternoon with Angelo doing the 5 course Neopolitan tasting workshop. We were looking for a unique, experiential Christmas gift for my parents and it was a total winner! It was engaging for everyone from our 8 and 10 year olds up to my parents in their 70s.

Angelo is absolutely delightful. From the minute we stepped into his creatively decorated home, he and his wife were warm and welcoming. We loved seeing where he makes his homemade sausages and salumi, and had even more fun learning about his hometown's cuisine. He's very fun-loving, a great storyteller, and was so good about involving all of us in the cooking. Highlights were making homemade pasta on the "guitar" and enjoying a little musical concert at the end.

Two important tips - - 1) Do NOT eat anything before you go! You will want an empty stomach to enjoy every last morsel over the 3.5 or 4 hours. 2) Arrange a taxi so you can enjoy all of the wonderfully paired wines with each course!

My wife and I recently spent a day in the Salumi Making Workshop learning how to make cured meats. Angelo is a wonderfully knowledgeable teacher and gracious host who taught and fed us very well! We'll definitely be back soon for the Pasta Making 101 class!

My husband and I recently attended Pasta 101 at Angelo Bean’s Italian Cooking Studio (the last class of the season). We absolutely loved our experience. Having recently returned from a trip to Italy, we were hoping to find a little piece of Italy in Prince Edward County. This experience exceeded our expectations and was comparable to ones we experienced in Italy. If you are looking for an Italian experience close to home this is it. Angelo and his wife are extremely hospitable and knowledgeable about Italian cooking. Not only did we learn how to make pasta we met a great group of people and shared a wonderful meal (enough so that we didn’t need our dinner reservation that evening!). We cannot thank you enough for providing us with an experience we will not forget!

After an hour drive, I arrived to a gracious, warm welcome from Angelo which made me immediately feel like family. I was the first to arrive and got a chance to take in the space - an amazing, professionally-fitted kitchen and dining area with creative flourishes and get to know Angelo. Because I was on my own and the other 8 people were couples, Angelo was my cooking partner. Conducting the class with humour and as much detail as we asked of him, it was a truly remarkable first-time experience of it's kind for me. I will be signing up for Pasta 201 and I have already started sourcing the Italian flour and some of the other ingredients we used in creating our lunch. I also purchased some of Angelo's famous (Baco Noir) sausages and a Chitarra (pasta noodle cutter) and can't wait to make my next batch(es) at home! Grazie mille Angelo!!

As soon as I arrived at Angelo’s house and kitchen I was impressed. The atmosphere of the place was amazing and welcoming, and the food was amazing. We learned many tricks on how to make authentic Italian food, and we enjoyed the little workshop. A tour around his kitchen and pantry was also very interesting, and everything we ate was completely home-made. Overall I had a great time, and would surely recommend this to people looking for a fun evening in Prince Edward County.
