We just came back from a wonderful tour with Cathie. We picked the private limo tour and so it was just the four of us in the vehicle with our fabulous guide. We stopped at five wineries and with all the restrictions in place, this tour was even more worth it as our guide could warn the winery of our arrival. We always had a nice place to sit and enjoy our tastings. Cathie gave us time if we wanted extra tastings and time to buy a few bottles! She actually told us more about each winery than the staff at the winery would, except for Sugarbush, where the owner helped us himself. Overall, this tour is well worth the money and if you get Cathie as your driver, you will have a blast! :-)

Prince Edward County Wine tours is an excellent experience and provides a relaxing experience of visiting 4-5 wineries throughout an afternoon. We had John Whyte as a tour guide for the day and John goes above and beyond to provide the most excellent experience and service. He is very knowledgeable about the wineries and history of the area, personable, an excellent driver and extremely thoughtful. I highly recommend Prince Edward County wine tours and HIGHLY recommend booking your tour with John Whyte!

Nothing but good things to say about our experience with PEC Wine Tours! My group of 8 booked the Half Day Limo Wine Tour with Kathy - she was very knowledgeable about the County and wineries, made sure our group was having a good time, and didn’t rush us at any of our stops. The limo was very comfortable and a fun experience, and the itinerary prepared for us fit our group perfectly. Would definitely recommend booking this tour with PEC Wine Tours.

Went on the Rolls Royce Ghost private wine tour. Overall, I've rated as average since half the experience was great and the other half was terrible.
First the terrible: trying to set up the tour. The email communication from the tour company was almost non-existent. I had to repeatedly write emails to get information, which went unanswered, sometimes weeks at a time, until I followed up. Eventually, I was sent a list of wineries and told there were restrictions because of COVID, but did not get any other guidance and was not told it was an exhaustive list. When I asked for wineries that were not on the listed (after doing my research and checking directly with the wineries to make sure they could accommodate us), I submitted and asked for feedback and input.....two weeks passed, and when I followed up, I was told it would be extremely difficult and made to feel like I was a burden on them. Not an issue to choose only from the list, but I would have known that if it was made clear and they gave me the feedback on my itinerary I asked for. Once we settled that, they "confirmed" my information....which was still the original pick up point which we had changed weeks earlier, they had already confirmed was fine (after I followed up when there was no answer) and "Change of location" was in the subject line of the email thread!!! There are other examples, but these are the worst of it.
However, I'll end with the good: the tour was great! We were picked up on time in the right location. Gilles, our driver, was very knowledgeable and you could tell he loved wine as well. He gave us a good balance of conversation and time to ourselves. Everything ran smoothly on the tour and we never felt rushed. When we were running late at the end of the tour, Gilles graciously offered to stop at our suite so we could drop off our purchases and then drive us to dinner so we wouldn't have to worry about making the walk in time. Have to say that I quite enjoyed being dropped off for dinner in a Rolls ;)
If you're willing to put up with the frustration, non-communication and attitude (email tone can be difficult to interpret sometimes, but let's say it didn't always come out as nice), then I would recommend the tour.

Our kids gave us this tour as our 25th wedding anniversary gift. Sadly after reading all the reviews and being very excited we were disappointed. Picked up in a limo and rode with another couple but the limo’s air conditioning only worked if “the wheels were turning” ( drivers words). So was very hot inside and with wearing a mask made it worse. The one door wouldn’t open unless the driver came around and opened it, however he told us in the beginning that he didn’t touch the door handles( likely due to Covid), so we had to go through the other couples door. Our driver talked at each site, giving us some information but was quiet the entire drive, where most drivers will strike up conversations. Toured 4 different and amazing wineries all of which were great in different ways. Our driver, Chris was a nice gentleman but we felt very rushed at each winery, being given count downs at each one. He just seemed very anxious to get us moving through them. We have done wine tours in Niagara and in BC and were always offered water between wineries. There was no hand sanitizer in the limo nor were there any waters offered till the last winery. Honestly somewhat disappointed with the service on this one, especially when it was a special anniversary. :(

Did a half day wine tour and we have nothing but good things to say!
Our tour guide was John and he made the trip - very knowledgeable on both the area and his wines, we ended up taking his advice on a couple of places to eat after our tour and they were great! He has great stories and kept us on track throughout the day to make sure we had enough time at each winery to fully enjoy the experience.
The limo was a comfy and luxurious ride. We were provided a cooler/water/hand sanitizer/boxes to store any wine
Would definitely recommend

We received a personal text that morning from our tour guide Cathie saying that she was excited to meet us at the pick up spot. She promptly picked us up with a smile and an energy that was contagious. We proceeded to gather the rest of the tour and she led us to our first winery stop! There was never a shortage of conversation, or facts to learn. We stopped at three different wineries, with plenty of time at each one so that we did not feel rushed and could enjoy the full experience. We were on a bus with about 16 other guests and we all got to know each other a little better as the day went on. Food is offered at some of the locations for purchase and we bought a lovely little charcuturie board at the Sugarbush winery. If you can choose, hit up this winery as the people and grounds are lovely. The wine was delicious and we ended up purchasing two bottles to bring home.
At the end of the day, Cathie dropped us back off at our starting point and we talked about how much we'd love to do this again and have her as our guide.
We would highly recommend Prince Edward Wine Tours for a group, or couples or for any size. Thanks again!

I’ve been on several wine tours in Niagara region but never P.E.C. First off, I would like to say that our wine tour guide was probably what made it the best experience! Cathie picked our group of 5 up in a limo from our hotel in Belleville, and from the moment we met it was was nothing but fun!! Cathie made us smile and laugh and was very knowledgeable about the region and all the winery’s we visited. She even told us things that the people at the winery’s didn’t! Our group of 5 was of mixed ages 28-60, and we all had a blast! She never made us feel rushed, and she had wonderful suggestions of places to eat at and things to see in the area.
THANK YOU CATHIE!! and thank you P.E.C Wine tours for an incredible experience. I would highly recommend Cathie as a guide to anyone !!
We will be back!

We had a wonderful private half-day tour of four county wineries. John was a delightful and knowledgeable guide, providing insights not only into the wineries we were doing tastings at, but also the area in general with suggestions for highlights to visit after the tour. The wineries we visited for were top notch and several were not part of packages from other similar services. Highly recommended.

We booked our Wine tour for Monday August 8, 2022. There were 4 of us; my wife, her parents and myself . I dealt with Sarah regarding booking and she was very helpful. For our tour Cathie was our driver and guide. She was exceptional, made the whole experience an excellent day and we all felt was she was one of the highlights of the experience. She is an ambassador for PEC and the Wineries. Without her we would not have had such a great day. When she picked us up she introduced herself and made us feel very welcome. Cathie was the perfect guide, she explained about the area and at every winery had build a relationship with the people working there which made our experience at each winery special. She is knowledgable about the wines and wineries and provide great insight and information as we travelled between wineries! The car ( 6 person stretch limo) was very good and very clean. I highly recommend PEC and would recommend asking for Cathie.

Hi. A friend and I would love to visit the Prince Edward County area in August for a girlfriend get away. We would like to stay somewhere for a couple of nights and include a wine tour. Do wine tours pick you up at your hotel too? Not sure where to stay and what tour company? Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

We stayed at The Waring House in October. There were 12 of us. We were there only overnight but it was very good accommodation and we had breakfast and dinner included. A bit pricey for the time of year but okay. We had arranged a vineyard tour with Sandbanks Tours and they picked us up at the hotel. They were very good with the driver taking us to 5 different vineyards for tastings and some had goodies. The driver was very knowledgeable about the area and she was very friendly and treated us great.

Harwood was great they have a great bordeau style wine (Admirals blend, VQA Niagara Peninsula) and a nice Gamay. Chadsey's Cairns had a great Pinot Noir (VQA Prince Edward County) and a verry special sparkling red, something to try!
I hope this help!

What is the average amount of time that a group of 7 people should expect to spend at each winery if we're booking tours & tastings? I feel like one hour at each is a long time to budget... TIA!
