When our son was very small we frequently visited this little zoo East of Toronto. It was the perfect size for little ones and not too tiring to roam around there for a couple of hours. I cannot comment on the issues there in the last couple of years as we never witnessed any cruelty to animals while visiting but... More

I have visited this zoo many times over the years and it was always a great experience. However, on my last visit in September it was obvious that it was going to close as it was in decline in terms of cleanliness, repair and the area where the animals are kept in their cages. Some animals looked unwell. Other animals... More

The Zoo being #2 on the "what to do in Bowmanville" speaks for itself, its something that brings in tourists and people from out of town to experience the true beauty of Bowmanville.... More

I will be so sad when this zoo closes its doors. I remember taking my daughter to ride the elephant and now I am taking my grandson to see the monkeys. Best small town zoo sad it's come to this

I visited the Zoo several years ago at the recommendation of a friend who lives in Belleville Ontario. She said the hour drive with a stop at the Big Apple was about all her young family could take. But with the Zoo as a goal they looked forward to the trip. As she said, the Zoo is the right size... More

Have been going to zoo for 7 years. Always have has a great time with my son. Always have bought seasons passes. I have never seen abuse or mistreated animals. Just the opposite. Hate to see Bowmanville Zoo close even though my child has out grown it. If PETA would like to help maybe they should visit Cat World. Have... More
