Nice site and it is true full sun no shade as others have said. Good sunsets and fireflies at night.

Comfort stations awful single shower for each gender for a whole campground. Worn concrete black mould unclean. A grotty shower curtain, no heat control, sensor barely works, cold water no heat control. When someone flushes temperature changes yuck

This is a beautiful park, however, all of the power sites are in full sun with very little shade. The shower/washrooms were functional but in need of serious upgrades. The shower curtain is nasty in the ladies washroom. There is no swimming available in the park. You can rent canoe/kayaks. We left after 2 days of our 5 day trip as there was no escaping from the extreme heat or sun. We found fishing in Hastings at the lock bridge was the best area. In the park the fish were sunfish and baby fish. Nothing really enjoyable to catch. If you are into tent camping, then this is your place. The non electric sites had the best layouts and full coverage from the sun.

Ferris Provincial Park is a wonderful day trip Provincial Park just at the outskirts of Campbellford Ontario. We walked some of the trails to get wonderful views of the falls and the river. We also went biking a a couple of the trails. The park was quiet because it was only open to day use at the time and not camping.

We stayed at Ferris Provincial Park for 4 days. The comfort stations are in terrible need of updating but were kept clean. there was only one shower working in the park and it was in the women's washroom and the shower curtain was full of mold. there was no place for a man to shower (I didn't shower either as I'm not too fond of mold.
The staff at the front gate were fabulous.

Nice park with decent trails. We were lucky to visit close to sunset and got some nice sunset pics of the bridge and ranney falls.
Good place for picnic and walks/strolls. Great way to spend an evening.
Lots of parking spaces if we go to the back parking lot.

Trails are easy. Nice view ir Ranney Falls. Sadly it is blocked off the day we went. Regardless I saw people paddling along the river below the bridge.

I also got confused by the Ranney Falls Trail, I thought I was following that trail and several hundred metres after the fork and after seeing the park closing hours and seeing some wooden feature I realized I was following the trail back to the town of Campbellford! The actual trail runs through a day use area and loops from there and was on the other side of the fork which also says River Access Prohibited or something along those lines so I thought we were not allowed to go there. So definitely the signage could be improved.

We have camped to many Provincial Parks and Ferris was by far the worst. The washrooms have not been updated since the park opened in the 70's. They are old and disgusting. Black mold on the shower walls, dirt and hair all over the floors. The toilets often didn't flush or overflowed. The floors in the washrooms were always wet, hopefully from the humidity but I'm not so sure. One of the stalls in the men's washroom had no door! There must be a standard for Provincial Parks and this one definitely failed. We had just camped at Silent Lake where all the facilities were new and kept so clean. Ferris was a major disappointment and we will never camp there again or recommend it anyone we know.

This is the worst provincial park we’ve stayed at in 22 years! We knew going in that there was no swimming allowed at the park but our attempts to find a nice local spot to swim failed leaving us very hot and sweaty. Also, there is only 1 female and 1 male shower stall in the entire park, the comfort station is run down and water sprays out of the wall when you press the flush button on the toilets causing the floor to be permanently wet & muddy, there are only 3 picnic tables in the picnic area and they are all under the picnic shelter which has a permanent sign saying ‘reserved’ even though no one is using it. We’ve been to many of our beautiful provincial parks and would never go back to Ferris.

Lovely site overlooking the valley large and grassy. Fireflies every night giving us a light show. Pleased with the peace and quiet and privacy.

Walked trails to the river and Trent Canal had a picnic with boats to watch, could do with a few more benches or tables.

Lots of potholes on the road to the site makes it hard for the truck and the RV. Only real complaint water and dump station are together one line and one tap. On the wrong side for us had to stop traffic and go the wrong way or have no water. People not always patient in a line up. Why not have them both sides? No shortage of space.

I would go back but haul heavy filling with water somewhere earlier.
