A nice little 9-holer

After a long 7 hour journey from Thunder Bay, we needed to stretch our legs and since our trip was golf oriented, this was the perfect venue to unwind. Later on in our trip, we would play some of the best courses Quebec and the Ontario peninsula had to offer. This course in no way could compare with those but for a small little community in the Northern Ontario wilderness, it's just fine!

The region had experienced a lot of rain recently and I suspect the mowers hadn't been able to cut the fairways on the day of our visit, Sept. 19. They were a little shaggy but not overly so. The greens were soft, held approach shots well and ran between 8 and 9 on the stimp as a good guess. I had envisioned a tight course carved out of the forest but it was fairly wide open with generous fairways. The course features four tee boxes for each hole, two forward tees and two tees quite a bit longer. With cart, green fees for both of us came to $70.00, perhaps just a tad high.

Good course

Good course for Northern Ontario. Highway is a little close to the action for my liking. I am not an avid golfer so some more experienced may notice more of the finer details. I just don't like to hear the transports all afternoon.

Service, what service
Jul. 2012
Wow, the staff here are the slowest I have ever seen. It's like winning the lottery to find someone that is able to serve you a beer. Went golfing one mens night and if you are not a member the fee is over $60.00 for 9 holes and it is not a good nine holes. Hard bunkers, ground under repair, terrible fairways and below average greens. The beer cart goes out maybe 3 times a year. This a place to golf if there is nowhere else.

A beautiful course right on highway as you enter town. A 9 holer with multiple tees if you play 18.
Excellent condition with interesting layout. Ample fairways and challenging greens. An enjoyable course to walk.
