We have visited for flee markets and banquet celebrations but never find here until today. Atmosphere was bright, clean and friendly. Menu was quite ample and priced fair. Good was fresh and delicious. If you have a chance check it out and give yourself extra time to check out the museum... its pretty cool!

The inside museum is awesome. Not only old cars, but clothing and a 50's diner. The outside has old houses a, stoe and barber shop that are fun to tour with a docent.

A unique venue to enjoy a meal in a 60s diner type facility. Shop and tour afterwards if you like. Great, friendly service and delicious food.

Ordered burger n fries. Half burger was raw, some fries still frozen. Showed the waitress and was told still had to pay! Oh I think not, I did offer to pay for half, barely had any fries. Was served our meals separately, likely not return here. Poor service, staff way to busy chatting with each other rather than their customers. Never got the coleslaw that was to come with the meal.

We went to this museum for lunch and a tour to view the automobiles. The tour guide was friendly and informative. The cars were in excellent condition and a pleasure to view.

Our lunches were a great disappointment. Two ordinary corned beef sandwiches which had toasted rye bread. Who toasts rye for a corned beef? The other couple had hamburgers. These burgers were so overcooked that they were black on the outside and grey on the inside. They were so recooked that even with a steak knife, she couldn’t cut her burger. Terrible food.

Go for the cars, but pass on the Diner.

Always a delight to visit both the museum and, in decent weather, to wander the marvelous collection of original homes and old commercial buildings. Sort of a pioneer village it is a place where really authentic old buildings are kept, restored and protected. Former prominent Canadian Eugene Whelan's original family log home is here. This Museum complex has become so sophisticated that it plays host to several of Windsor-Essex County's ElderCollege courses for folks over age 55. Courses on autos and local history have added a whole new and positive dimension to the Museum and Village. There is also a very good little Café for breakfasts and lunches.

GREAT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY. This is an amazing museum of transportation vehicles, ranging from wilderness man-made log carts, to modern automobiles, trucks, motorcycles, bikes, and tractors. There are simply so many exceptional cars here that you will NEVER find anywhere else, anymore. These cars are of a bygone era and presented in mint condition. The tour guide offers facts you’ve never considered about why certain design features were used in the build and use of these vehicles. Most of these car companies don’t exist (out of 2,300 car companies that once existed, only the big FOUR still exist). You can’t begin to imagine how many approaches were used to build vehicles over the past 150+ years… some good ideas that couldn’t support a long-term business model to survive, and others that were just plain weird. Spend an hour taking the guided tour and you will not be disappointed by the journey through time.

Indoors or outdoors, this is a fascinating place to wander. We prefer the outdoor village with original historic buildings. Not being an automobile fan the vehicle museum, while modestly interesting, iss much less interesting than the historic buildings.
