Summer weekend events are great for families

This is basically a pioneer village but farm-related; lots of barns and ancient machinery, an old historic gas station, and a beautiful old village church. (*** It is NOT open... read more

Sunday April 9th, I donated my time to be involved in a fashion show as part of the entertainment for this fundraising event. It was a Victorian Tea and there were approx 125 attendees.....mostly women! For an added twist, the food and tea were served by MEN ! The venue was the Gambrel Barn....a gorgeous Rustic Barn that would suit... More

My husband and I got married here this fall and the experience was amazing. The venue is very unique and was large enough to hold our reception at the Gambrel barn and our ceremony at the Cassin House- which provided a beautiful outdoor fall wedding experience with a rustic backdrop. The farm itself is extremely large and offers many different... More

An absolutely beautiful barn, I love the history but unfortunately the staff could not be more disorganized. Nobody ever knows what is going on and just tries to refer you to other useless people, nor do they answer emails or phones.I have had this venue booked for two years now just to find out they have double booked the barn.... As a venue for a wedding, the Country Heritage Park and Gambrel Barn are perfect for a rustic wedding. The wedding ceremony can be held outdoors (weather permitting), and while the bride and groom have their pictures taken, guests can be provided with wagon rides around the property viewing, old cars and farm equipment, old buildings. The whole property is... More

Country Heritage Park is a unique rural heritage village that celebrates the history of rural North America. You will experience displays of farm equipment from the time of horse and buggy up to the introduction of motorized farm equipment and beyond. I have visited the park several times and experienced many activities such as Spring and Fall/Christmas craft shows, horse... More

Great day for browsing. So many different artisians to see and all had fantastic merchandise. No matter Venders were very polite and fun to talk to. If you like to use dips you wont be disappointed in the variety they have there. We ended up 12 new types One my husband really liked was Flavors of Nova Scotia Honey and... More

Attended Open Doors day and was surprised at how much there is to see! Lots of fun for both adults and kids visiting the various exhibits, buildings and farm animals. Great collection of antique farming equipment from tractors to threshing machines and antique ford cars at the historic dealership! Visit the homestead house fully furnished from the late 1800's. Well... More

We planned a detour to see this based on the website promise of 'open on weekends in July and August'. We arrived early Sunday August 16 to find a small page taped to an inner window stating that no services would be available. Calling the number on the office provided an extensive directory, available Monday to Friday. Several other families... More

We have tried to see the Museum twice on a Sunday this summer and both times it was closed. The web site does not state if it is closed and we wasted time and gas getting there from Burlington west. The first time they were filming a movie and the second time it was a Pirate Fair with no access... More

(*** It is NOT open every day ... see their web site; even in July/Aug. only open on weekends!) They have several events each year, on weekends, mostly in summer or fall. (See their web... More
