Really good early 1800's original buildings in a period village setting on the shores of the St. Lawrence Rriver. Next door to the Nov 11.1813 Battle at Crysler's farm. A battle that saved Canada in the war of 1812.

I would recommend this place. The sawmill was very interesting. I also liked the place with all the wool, I can't quite remember what they called it. Lots of fish. There's a train, although we didn't ride it.

It's definitely an interesting place, seeing the way things used to be done, reading about the different families and ways of life but...it's a pretty expensive family outing. Especially if your kids are only interested in feeding the giant coy fish at the entrance! There were horse and buggy rides, horse drawn boat rides, and there's a train ride. The... More

We headed to Pumpkinferno with a few toddlers and a group of adults. Its a great Halloween/autumn activity. Very original! A few things: -buy your tickets in advance!! This will let you walk right in instead of waiting in a lineup of hundreds of people. We could not believe the size of the line! -you can go as fast or... More

Had a great time , spent 4 hours here and did not see quite everything - but my feet had had enough! Plenty to see and do and the guides interact well with visitors Quite a few school trips there but not a problem as its more than big enough if one place is full of kids you just move... More

From the moment we entered Upper Canada Village, our grandchildren and we moved into 1867 rural Upper Canada (Ontario). We learned how they made their own brooms, helped shear wool off of sheep, watched a horse being shoed. Grandpa had his hands hit with a ruler when he picked up the pencil with his left hand when we sat in... More

First time visiting this particular event and I went only because I was dragged Should have gone before as this is one of the most colourful and artistically impresive displays I have seen in a long time, Viewed afyer dark, it is almost impossible to see the individual carved pumpkins that make up the back lit displays and gives the... Second time I go to this event! It takes about 1 hour or more to walk all the village, I recommend to buy the tickets online otherwise you will be stuck in a very loooong line. The creativity and art is amazing, all pumpkins are carved to give life to a different subjects... do not miss it!! Only in October.

We drove up from Upstate New York and we had a great time. The effort that it takes to prepare the park and pumpkins is amazing. It is a good idea to purchase the tickets that includes the winter lights in December. It's a reduced price and you won't need to stand in line to buy tickets for the return... More
