If you like trains you will like this rebuilt station and all the artifacts they have assembled. Often there is a former railwayman or two there to share first hand knowledge. A very nicely preserved piece of local heritage

Another volunteer run venue in Palmerston. It is more than a railway museum, it is a good look at what life was like in a railroad town. Good documentation and it is located by a wonderful park.

Lots of history in this old train station. There's a walking bridge that goes from one side of park to the other. It was used by the passengers to get across the many train tracks. The town was built after the train station was established.
