I visited Farmhouse Pottery during Covid. The studio was closed to visitors but they did have a wonderful selection of pottery available to view and displayed outside. There was a lovely girl who helped me and I talked to the owner as well about his kiln. They let me look around the property a little to see the beautiful river they have. Such lovely people and the makers of my now favourite coffee mug!! Absolutely work a visit.

We visited this beautiful property on the Nottawasaga River in search of some pie and coffee. We ended up enamored with the beautiful views and carefully maintained property, had a fascinating conversation with the owners about canoe trips to the Yukon, enjoyed our pie slices, and brought a pumpkin pie home which we are enjoying while writing this review. We were visiting as two families with 3 kids under the age of 7 in tow and enjoyed it immensely. If you are looking for a place to stop for food or a unique gift before or after a trip to the area for a hike (we were headed to Mono Cliffs) -- this is an excellent stop.

This is a neat experience. It is pretty accessible and has a wide range of interesting pottery. The cute puppy and the butter tarts make the stop totally worthwhile even if you're not looking for pottery! The drive is absolutely lovely no matter what time of year you go.

We walked in and there was a couple being served by someone.
The wife said hello but nothing from the person working there.
So we walked around and there were some very nice pieces. One in particular that my girlfriend was interested in. Still no-one said anything to us.
We walked out to the restaurant and saw the sign for the best butter tarts in Ontario.
So we were going to bring some home.
Someone came in from outside and said it's so nice outside with the running stream.
We said "you convinced us we're going to have a coffee too."
Nobody came while we waited.
We finally said let's go.
Walked outside to the patio.
The stream was nice.
We left.
So much for small town hospitality.
We were actual customers and nobody seemed to care. This place might only be for locals.
We both walked away saying "That was really weird. It was like they didn't want us there."
So I will say again
"I don't really know what to make of this place."

Beautiful pottery in a lovely setting. Stop by, ring the door bell and you will be welcome by a very friendly dog. The owner is just as friendly and will happily tell you about his passion for pottery. His pieces were unique and beautifully made. This little shop is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Kind of defeated our great hike, but the butter tarts and tea were welcome. Beautiful pottery to shop too.

Right off Hockley Valley Road, It's a nice spot to stop by, where you can browse or buy some beautiful handmade potteries, have a coffee or tea with friends, or get a piece of pie or butter tarts. The patio outside overlooks the trees and a small creek in the valley behind. Autumn sun leaches through the golden leaves and cuddles you warm. Treat yourself, stop by, and enjoy.

Beautiful pieces. Enjoyed looking around and seeing pottery. Friend bought 2 coffee mugs. Hockley Road is a nice scenic road especially in the fall.

I'm a baker of pies and I think I'd almost prefer the pies sold at Farmhouse Pottery to my own. They are baked by the mayor of the Town of Mono. Great coffee and you get to enjoy it while wandering around Al Pace's pottery store and looking out over the Nottawasaga River. It's a great combo and located very close to the to the access point for Loops 20 and 21 in my guide Caledon Hikes: Loops & Lattes.
