Stewart Park is a lovely park graced with mature shade trees, a beautiful bridge spanning the Tay River, and convenient picnic tables for enjoying coffee and snacks from the nearby coffee shops, chip wagons, bakeries, and restaurants. A statue of Olympian, Ian Millar and his horse, Big Ben in mid-leap graces the grassy expanse. You might even chance a glimpse... More

This ancient park is really on an island incorporating the Perth Town Hall and business section. The two rivers surround it gently, encompassing a bandstand, an old swimming pool recently restored by dry stone cutters from around the world, a parade ground for Scottish military tattoos and our famous free Stewart Park Festival of music in July yearly. Come and... More

Gorgeous. Literally gorgeous. And there is a life-sized statue of Ian Miller (aka Captain Canada) riding his most famous horse Big Ben. Ian Miller has the world record for competing in more Olympic games than any other Canadian ever - he's been in a staggering 10 different Olympic games! That's a statue worth checking out! And wander through the park... More

Even in winter, this is a gorgeous park. beautifully maintained. It can be a lively place but there are also places of solitude!!

Lots of quiet and picturesque views in this compact park with the Tay river running through it . In July the Stewart Park Festival offers 3 days and nights of free music, fun eats and crafts for sale. The park is a real gem in the centre of Perth and can be enjoyed any time of the year.

Lovey park in the heart of Perth with a miandering creel running throught it. Lots of benches and spots under big shade trees for a picnic and to kick a ball around. Or cross county ski in the winter.

This park is very nice to walk along or to have a picnic by the water.. The Tay River runs through the park. The horse sculpture is a reminder of Canadian Olympic champion...If you visit Perth..a MUST

I would definitely recommend a walk thru Stewart Park in Perth. The Tay river runs thru it a great place to sit for a peaceful rest or to go on a nice stroll. There is also a nice statue of the famous Equestrian horse Big Ben and the rider Ian Millar who is from Perth.

A really pleasant place to take a stroll. Words can't do it justice so I'll post a couple of photos.
